Jezza Posted April 12, 2004 Author Share Posted April 12, 2004 Re: PL Card Game long and boring to explain mate but here is the jist : On hills there is a disconnection protection thingy : the way it works is if you time out in the middle of a pot you are considered "all in" and have no further action in the pot, however if you hold the winning hand you will still win what was in the pot when the software moved you all in. Basically I had flopped a great hand and was betting at this guy and was being called - the pot had reached over 100 dollars. Once the river was dealt I placed a bet of 60 dollars and instead of calling the little fcuk let himself time out to an all in protect to see if he would win the pot without calling my bet. He showed AK and had hit a pair of aces (I had that beaten) - it was obvious he would have called if he didnt have that facility to abuse. I won the 100 dollars of course but on ladbrokes or any other site he would have had to pay the extra 60 to find out what I had. It goes on all the time there I have had enough of it and cashed out my account Jez. NOTE : Almost every site has this disconnection protection feature HOWEVER the difference is it is only offered on the limit poker tables where the most someone can skim you for is 2 dollars or something - on no-limit and potlimit games no other site offers it because people can attempt to cheat you out of much bigger bets (like what happened to me). Standard of play on the net is poor. Truly poor. Some chap kept bluffing tonight. You could see the pattern but I had nothing to call him with. So I waited...... and waited....... and waited....... and then I got a pair of 9's before the flop. I flat call (as raising online with a small pair pre flop is pointless I am finding ). Flop comes K 9 A. I check ;) He raises (bullshiit raise again I know). I flat call. 4th Street comes - 3 No good (all 4 cards off suit BTW) I check ;) He raises the pot.:D Now I think "Time for you to get your comeuppance sunshine" - he aint got trip Aces or Kings - I know it from his pattern of play. I re-raise. Long pause - he flat calls (Now I know he is bullshiiting). River comes - 7 of something (No good to anyone again). I pause and check. He raises a tiny amount. I'm all in. He calls. Pair of 7's meet my trip 9's. THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT. Bluff all you will but I will wait and wait until the time is right. :nana :nana Just finished $70 up for a couple of hours work again. Three nights on this site and won every night. To withdraw your cash just click on bank on the main screen of the ladbrokes poker software, I usually find the money in my account in 3 days (I use a debit card). As long as your cash is in the pot at the right time the maths are with you will will, but you cant expect to win every pot, sometimes people will get lucky like that. It started bad - middle was great - end was poo tonight. I had a go at NL guys for the first time. Whilst I lost the $20 I went in with I like it. A lot. The dynamics are different but more aggressive. Pure poker I think for holdem. I'll play that too now.
