This could be altered to what you wanted, but i would imagine it would be quite effective in the long run. By betting to place you have a smaller chance of losing your whole stake (hence the higher bet). You could also have a cut off for the odd's that you take. For places i normally dont like to go below 1.4 but it is up to you mate. Good luck with this and i hope it continues. DC Posted July 19, 2008 Author Share Posted July 19, 2008 Re: Top rated AM nags - aim to achieve 25% ROI (current 32% ROI) Looking at today's qualifiers current prices my "divide by 6" summation works nicely for 2 of the races but I suppose it's hard to guess at what the actual prices are. It'll depend on the nature of the race: Kal Barg is trading @ 6.2 to win and 2.06 to place which seems reasonable. Bankable is trading @ 2.66 to win and 1.39 to place which again seems fair. However, Southern Regent, although trading @ 4.00 to win is a lousy 1.39 to place. I suppose this is down to the fact that its 3-1 because of the short priced favourite, (almost a 2 horse race) and is hard to see 4 other rivals finish ahead of it. W4M - yes i didn mention doing a 'combination of the two'.... I will try and keep track of actual "place" prices from now on and work out a reasonable combination of win and place, if benifical, after a few more weeks. :ok Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
