Re: Long Term Football Drip - 252 WINS, 0 LOSSES!!!! I have now been notified from Betfair that should my account remain as "profitable", after a 60 week period, I will be 20% taxed. This is an outrage!! I have withdrawn my money from my BF account (almost £3k). And at least for a couple of weeks these successful drip threads will be suspended. It is an act me and other noted Betfair customers, have agreed to on the BF forums (before the powers that be deleted them). One of my Betfair friends noted this (after calculation): If you make more than £16 a week from (profit) BF, they will levy you with a 20% tax Altho I dont make thousands a week, or even a fw hundred, I make far more than £16 profit!! (tips on here , well alone!!), and have been noted as will be taxed with this "Premium tax" If betfair keep this up, I will be switching to Betdaq. I will definately get back to these drips though (latest mid October). Scotty bigokay.gifbigokay.gif

Sorry to hear this Scotty...... the new charge is unreal.. :eek I don't think the calculation your friend has made is accurate though, it doesn't seem to be the amount of profit you make but more how you get that profit. You obviously have to be profitable over the long term and this drip is certainly doing that! Looks like 2% commission if you ask for it on betdaq at the moment, why not just switch over there and see if you can get your bets matched? GL.

I have a betdaq account now aldric, thanks for putting that forward buddy! :ok The only downfall is ofcourse the liquidity. And the fact most games on it dont contain Correct Score markets!!!! :sad This is the biggest hurdle. I specialise in a field outside the match win/lose market, AH and ofcourse the overs :cry So I cant get a game on most (unless its a few stupidly big ones, but then if I was only to pick a game based on how large it is, as opposed to how much I felt confident in each team I woulda fell on the way side a long ago (aka Mr A, as well as others doing what I do :()). My concerns have been voiced, as have hundreds of others. I can only encourage more to make a stand!! They are trying to destroy the "dream" all pundits have of making a living FT as a gambler. At the end of the day, you may not be a pro, but imagine if you were for a second (as many are), and someone was to say, "ok 20% cut" you would be raging!! The "dream" is what most punters aim for, me alike, and BF at least seem to be making it has hard as possible :( If Betdaq or WBX (who seem to not offer correct score markets at all!! :cry) step upto the plate, maybe offer some bots in dead markets to increase liquidity, they can more than capitalise. End this monopoly once and for all fellas!! Unlike the BF forums, as long as Paul Ross is in charge of things, PL is one place we will not get our views on the matter censored!! Scotty :ok

Re: Long Term Football Drip - 252 WINS, 0 LOSSES!!!! I'll never censor a view on any bookmaker/exchange for sure, advertiser or not. Betfair have been extremely arrogant in the last year or so, and they deserve to get their arse kicked. Time will tell whether people will make the move and show them who's boss. Keep up the good work Scotty. :ok

Great goign Scotty' date=' nice to see you carrying on, despite betfair's bollox.[/quote'] Thanks very much Fawksey :ok It is nonsence, and Im still disappointed after joining Betdaq, that they dont offer much in the way of correct score markets, as would love to take advantage of that 2% commission deal! Aw well, least it gives me sometime to hopefully give my flatmates BF record a bit of a boost :lol
