G:G
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21/1 Rögle @ 1.75 Centrebet Rögle are unreliable, they mix high and low from game to game, but today when they face Nybro, who are out of form and generally a poor team I find a small value in awaywin at 1.75. Nybro have lost four matches in a row, they play very attacking minded, but lately they have had it very tough to find the net, only eight goals scored their last five matches, this is very bad news for a team with shaky defence, they have allowed 21 goals in those five matches. Rögle won 8-5 vs Sundsvall in their latest match, today they should get plenty off opportunities to score as Nybro will play their usual attacking hockey, if Rögle keep the defence together they will win this one. Huddinge Moneyline @ 2.60 Ladbrokes A match between two poor teams, imo very even, so 2.60 for Huddinge is far too high, I can't see why Nyköping would be strong favourites in this one. Nyköping won last match, 3-1 away vs Hammarby, a normal result but it says nothing really, Huddinge won 3-2 at home vs Växjö, which is a very good result. Earlier h2h's ended with homewin for Nyköping and homewin for Huddinge. Nyköping will miss three important players today, this adds more value to Huddinge: Persson, Olausson and Jacobs. Jacobs is Nyköping's best pointscorer and scorer with 12 goals and 16 assists.

G:G
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21/1 Frölunda - MoDo under 5.5 @ 1.97 Pinnacle Pinnacle's odds really sticks out, I find a good value in such a high odds for this match to end under. Frölunda finds themselves in a crizis again, they showed better results after the manager change, but have now lost the last four matches. Frölunda are no doubt a lot more solid at the back, but it seems like the attacking have suffered from that, 11 goals scored within regular time last five is not a very good record, but they have only allowed 12, so 4/5 latest under. MoDo has the best form in the league atm, seven wins in a row, last one was 4-2 at home vs Södertälje. MoDo have not been as underish as before, but they haven't changed their way of playing very much, so I think that they still are a team thats's very likely to participate in lowscoring matches, 5/10 latest ended under, 7/10 latest away matches ended under. H2h's this season: Frölunda 4-2 at home, Modo 1-2 and 2-1 at home. Modo to play safe and counterattack their way to a eight win, Frölunda with low confidence, under is worth a shot. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21/1 The crappiest weekend ever is behind me (I managed to lose a dozen of good bets and get in a car accident - all within 24 hours). It's time to go back to European hockey. Augsburg to win (2.10 @ Bet365) I've lost my last bet I placed on Augsburg, but I still believe in them. Since Higgins is back, they play much better. In last match, they have lost to Ingolstadt 7-6 (OT). It was a great match, in which Augsburg had a 3:5 lead and played really great. They are good at home, but need to improve their away performance to start moving up on the table (although, there was nothing wrong with their performance in Ingolstadt). Augsburg didn't lose at home in 8 straight matches (since the beginning of December). Krefeld is also in good form, but majority of their points comes from home matches. Two days ago, they have lost to second-to-last Straubing 5-2. Their important forward Ramsay had some kind of gastro-intestinal flu over the weekend and will play tomorrow, but it's not known will he have enough strength for the whole match. Krefeld won only twice in last 9 away matches and tomorrow's match won't be easy. I count on Augsburg to continue their good performance and tame the Penguins. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21/1 Berlin to win (2.35 @ Bet365) I've bet against Iserlohn in last round and lost. They won against Hamburg 1-5. It wasn't such a great performance by the Roosters as it was an awful night for Hamburg. Iserlohn plays very offensively and they know how to take advantage of opponent's bad day. Their offensive approach also causes a lot of goals allowed. They have allowed at least 3 goals in last 10 home matches. Berlin lost the leading position last weekend after the loss against Duisburg. That loss was a big surprise as Duisburg is last placed team and it was supposed to be an easy job for Berlin. Instead, Duisburg was great. Their goal tender was amazing and they have forced Berlin to attack at full speed in last period, while creating some nice chances in counter attacks. After this loss, Berlin will be double motivated for this match. They will want to prove that last round loss was just a bad day, but they will also want to re-gain their top position on the table. Iserlohn and Berlin met twice this season and Berlin won both matches easily.
Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21/1 To tell the truth, Straubing at 5.00 on Wednesday looks very appealing. Both Hamburg and Straubing play better away than at home. Plus, Hamburg was extremly bad in last round and Straubing was rather good. Plus, in both H2Hs this season guests won. Very appealing odds. G:G
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 22/1 have to say that it is shame that u havent received none. :sad i voted:ok Tnx, mate :) Sönderjyske -1.5 @ 1.71 & over 6.5 @ 1.86 Bet365 The top 4 teams are motivated and in form, Sönderjyske with four wins in a row, latest match a 7-4 win at home vs Frederikshavn. Totempo have quality and should not be underestimated, but their defence is leaking, 18 goals allowed in the last four matches, so my guess is that they will be in trouble when they face the leagues best attacking line up, most teams have had serious trouble with Sönderjyske's speed this season. H2h's this season: Sönderjyske at home 5-2, Totempo at home 6-5, 2-6 and 2-1. Over stats: Sönderjyske 3/5 latest, 7/10 latest, Totempo 4/5 latest, 6/10 latest. Esbjerg - Odense Under 6.5 goals @ 1.76 50/50 under 6 @ 2.05, effective 1.905 for under 6.25 Bet365 A nice odds compared to % imo, Esbjerg only with 1/5 latest under, but two matches ended with a push/half win and the two others were 8-3 vs Herlev and 3-4 vs Sönderjyske, two notorious over teams for different reasons. Esbjerg's matches at home tend to end under when they meet "normal" teams: Frederikshavn 5-1, Odense 3-2, Aab 0-2 and Totempo 2-2 the four latest examples. Odense have performed solid lately, last five matches: Nordsjaealland 3-2, Herlev 3-0, Herning 1-5, Rödovre 3-2 and Sönderjyske 3-4. Lowscoring matches, even vs Herlev, and only seven goals vs Sönderjyske. Last ten matches for Odense ended with six under, three with six goals and two matches over. Both h2h's with Esbjerg as hometeam ended under: 3-2 and 2-2 the results. I see a close match between Esbjerg in need of points and Odense who have a really solid defence, many angles points towards a lowscoring match imo. Aab -1.5 @ 1.75 Ladbrokes Another favourite at home, but I really think this one is worth backing aswell. Frederikshavn are out of form and poor on the road, they have lost 4/5 of their latest matches, three of those away: 4-7 vs Sönderjyske and Totempo, 1-5 vs Esbjerg. Frederikshavns awayrecord: 2-4-12 44-90, Aab at home: 12-5-0 70-37. H2h's: Frederikshavn 6-3 and 4-1 at home, Aab 6-3 and 4-3 after o.t. at home. Now that Aab have started to get back in form, at least when playing at home, they should be able to finish off Frederikshavn with more than one goal, it's important for Aab to get back to winning ways before the playoffs, and Frederikshavn migth be a team they will face in the quarterfinals. Seeker
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 22/1 Hello, instead of NHL, I'll go for Czech Extraliga today. Litvínov - Zlín Litvínov, @1,7, Unibet, 5/10 To take a look in the table will be enough in this case IMO. Litvínov is in big fight for PO postions, is in very good form and strong at home generally. On the other hand Zlín is practically without chances for PO and it seems even their motivation has gone. They lost last 4 games, but it's even worse, because they didn't score single goal in 3 from these 4. It's long travel for them to Litvínov and they are reasonable outsiders in this overall situation. Sparta - Pardubice Sparta, @1,85, Unibet, 5/10 I can't say nothing bad about Pardubice actually, after coaches change they look better and even their results go up. But they are in deep squad troubles these days. Because of enteric virus only 7 players trained yesterday and even if they'll play today, there will be number of players out and those playing can probably be reasonable weakened. They are fighting hard for PO and in similar situation managed to turn from 0-2 to 4-2 in third period of Sunday game at home against Třinec surprisingly, but this should be much harder game for them, as Sparta has home advantage and is boosted after 7-5 win at strong Slavia. By the way, České Budějovice looks like banker, but unfortunatelly odds mirrors it correctly. Good luck:ok

Rödovre will miss five players today, they have an important match away vs Sönderjyske this Friday, so I don't think they will give a 100% to smash Herlev today, my guess is that they will do what's necessary to win and not much more. It's always important to notice that Rödovre usually win at home but the matches don't often end with many goals vs the worst teams in the league, 7/10 under this season. h2h's: 2007-12-21 AL-Bank Ligaen Herlev - Rödovre 0-5 2007-11-23 AL-Bank Ligaen Herlev - Rödovre 0-4 2007-10-23 AL-Bank Ligaen Rödovre - Herlev 6-1 2007-09-28 AL-Bank Ligaen Rödovre - Herlev 3-

Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 22/1 Comic Book Guy: Congrats to the Oscar for best newcomer in the other sports cathegory, well deserved for your outstanding work :clap:clap:clap http://www.punterslounge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60814Thanks. Actually, it's easy to write good previews when you have a thread like this one is. Euro Hockey threads keep such high standards and those standards require that all posters put an extra work in their reasonings. All the kudos for those high standards definitely go to Bamse who kept those threads running for couple of years, and to G:G and Burran who both maintained the high quality of posts. Anyway, if there was an Oscar for best series of threads, I believe that Euro Hockey would be high on the list of favourites. Not many forums have such a good coverage of European ice hockey, and not one of them cover such a big range of leagues as we do. What I'm trying to say, it's great to win that Oscar, but this thread and the people that post in here also deserve a reward of their own. G:G
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 22/1 Very well spoken, Comic Book Guy, I hope we can keep the high quality in this thread, and we of course wellcome all newcomers, don't be afraid to voice your opinion here ! Seeker: A great start in Eurohockey, keep it up :clap Having said this I have also got to say that I'm about to take a break, can't get much right, no margins or luck with me right now, I suck atm, simple as that. Don't feel like putting down so much work to get a :spank every night. The 3-3 result between Sönderjyske and Totempo pretty much did it for me, Sönderjyske scored after 24 secs, they were the better team the entire match, up 3-2 after 2nd period, then can't score one lousy goal in the third, despite plenty of chances, only to win 4-3 after o.t. Fcuk it.
Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 23/1 I'll try both bets in WC U20 with small stakes: Armenia to win (2.29 @ 10bet) Things are pretty much well known in this division. Serbia and New Zealand will fight for gold medal (both teams will be promoted) and Armenia will try to overtake Australia at the third place. If you read my posts on previous matches, you remember that Australia came to Belgrade totally unprepared. They have played only one warm up match and some players are completely out of form (season in Western Australia ended in August). Australia had a lot of troubles against Turkey in first round (they out shoot them, but won only 5:3), then had two easy wins against the weakest sides here (South Africa and Bulgaria) and then came tougher opponents: Serbia and New Zealand. They didn't show much against Serbia and lost 5:0. New Zealand played really well and easily won 2:7. Armenian team is always much talked about, unfortunately not about their performances, but about visa issues or dubious citizenship of some players. They came to this WC backed by couple of players with international experience and they have played well. They have started with two wins: South Africa and Turkey. They have lost the next match against New Zealand and two days ago played against Serbia. That was an intense match in which Serbia won 6:0, but only after Armenia unexplainable lost it in the third period and allowed 4 goals in last 20 minutes. Judging by the match against Serbia, Armenia plays better than Australia. I'll keep this smallish, as Armenia tends to lose nerves.
Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 23/1 New Zealand to win (2.40 @ 10bet) The reason why I place only small stakes on this bet is simple: other 5 divisions of WC U20 showed that it's never a good idea to go against the home team. But, New Zealand will have a nice chance in this match. Both teams have won all 4 previous matches. Serbia allowed only 1 goal, but also scored only 37 (compared to New Zealand's 54). Serbia will play without their best player Milovanovic (4 goals + 4 assists) and without Babic (2 goals and 4 assists), as both are injured. Ilic is also questionable. On the other hand, New Zealand is performing great so far. They score easily (5 out of 10 scoring leaders are Kiwis) and look very motivated. New Zealand's youth hockey definitely developed over past year and they are certain candidates for gold medal.
Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Hockey Leagues: 21 - 23/1 CSKA to win (2.35 @ Bet365) Cherepovec didn't have straight win at home in last 7 matches. Truly, they have played well in last couple of rounds. They have fought hard against Kazan and Dynamo, had a lead against good Khimik and had a 4:1 lead against Omsk. But, nevertheless have only two OT wins to show for. When looking at their last home matches, the situation is also not great: loss to Khimik, big lead against poor Omsk ended in OT, easy loss against Tver, 2:0 lead against Novosibirsk ended in OT and loss to poor Novokuznetsk. CSKA has two losses in last 7 matches and both of them were away. They have lost against Lada in last 15 minutes and lost against Cheljabinsk in last 5 minutes. Other 5 matches was impeccable. Cherepovec is not a team that will make such a big pressure in final minutes, so CSKA has good chances today. In last 8 H2Hs, CSKA won 7 of them and one ended as a draw. In last 7 H2Hs played in Cherepovec CSKA won 6 of them (plus 1 draw).
