Guest cunniman Posted September 8, 2002 Share Posted September 8, 2002 I know the game is only just over an hour away, but does anyone else think that Bulgaria are a good price to win in Belgium? They are 5-1 with Bet 365. I am no expert on Bulgarian football but they have been building a young team over the past couple of years with Celtic's Stillian Petrov as captain. Petrov is in my opinion a fantastic player and probably after Larsson the most valuable asset at Celtic Park. Bulgaria looked good in drawing 2-2 with Germany last month. The Belgians on the other hand struggled to qualify from Scotland's group for the World Cup (and I think today has shown just who bad Scotland are). If he is still at Celtic Park in the next couple of years I'd be surprised. We signed him as a 19 year old and last season he was outstanding. He broke his leg and that had a major effect on the team. He will go to the Premiership and be a massive player for someone, but given the status of Scottish football I'd be surprised if we get more that £3-4m for him.
