Reasoning	Nicolas Kiefer has just started to come back from and injury and played well at Wimbledon to progress as far as he did considering he was not match fit. He is currently ranked in the 400's, but is on his way back to the top 20 within the next year and will definatly go close to his career best ranking of 4 if he continues to play well. He got knocked out of Wimbledon by world number 3 Novak Djokovic in a tight math where he took the 3rd set and eventually lost it in a 4th.

Reasoning	Marin Cilic played well on the grass at Queens and I think that he is an emerging player who will want to break into the top 100 quickly and hopefully by the end of this week. Wheras I watched Stepanek at Queens, on the grass which should have been his best surface, but he was largly disappointing against Andy Roddick and his serve and volley tactics rarely worked. I think that he is heading in the wrong direction on the rankings, but I think that Cilic is heading the right way and will soon be a top 50 player. This is there first ever meeting, but I think that youth will prevail over expierience.

I think Nieminen showed he was a good player at Wimbledon, but I think he ios inconsistent and could be caught out by a hungry Rochus. H2H is 4:3 in favour of O Rochus and he won there most recent encounter in 2007, on hard courts in NZ.

He has not done too well as he has met decent top 50 players in opening rounds in many tournaments and I think that at Wimbledon he played very well in the first round against the great Roger Federer. I dont know much about Karanusic, but I think that he will not be as good as Gabashvili as he is ranked 89 places above him and is not that prominent on the ATP circuit. H2H is 1:0 in favour of Karanusic, but this was 3 years ago.
