slapdash
Re: the art of war just change the word war for poker tournament during the text and a hell of a lot of it makes very good sense:clap :clap Though he does seem to be a bit obsessed with stacking his chips nicely: The preparation of mantlets, movable shelters, and various implements of poker, will take up three whole months; and the piling up of mounds over against the walls will take three months more. ubermonkey1
Re: the art of war admittedly the ground section is not much help(unless you get in a fight outside your local:unsure ) but most of the rest makes some sense:ok . if your big intimidate the small so they give up without a fight.(big stack bullying) if your small fight only if neccesary and when you have best advantage(tag poker when you have a small stack). constant changes of tactic to become as elusive as possible. don't be afraid to make small losses to get you information and to confuse opponents to get bigger gains later. stay emotionally detached from your opponent(avoiding the dreaded tilt) plenty more good stuff as well ,and seeing things from a different prospective sometimes makes you see things clearer:ok
