Re: Madeira Open Golf A low key event due to attentions across the pond and very few bookies having anything other than outrights at the minute. Stan James have been brave enough to accomodate the punters with Top Euro and Top GB/IRE markets so i'll go there for my selections in a wide open contest it has to be said. Have to be careful here with my names as i'm going for two players that have the same sirname as opponents. The first is in the European field, the Molinari brothers are both playing this week, Eduardo has won twice recently on the lesser tour but i'm going for his younger brother Francesco who showed last time out that he was coming back to his best, at 9/1 he looks decent enough value in a very poor bunch. In the top GB/IRE market i'm going for two against the field in PETER Lawrie (not Paul) and David Lynn. Lawrie has been out of form this season but last time was in the money and if his putting holds up he could take this event and at 22/1 its a big price. David Lynn on the other hand has been in terrific form for a few weeks and should be favourite in my opinion so at 9/1 i'll take that.
