Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup FINAL - Carlton vs Brisbane (Mar. 17th) Brisbane are morals :dude Too much class, too much speed, too much ability. Who are Carlton going to put on Johnathon Brown? Thornton? :rollin Easily the best bet of the Pre Season Cup are the Lions. Don't know what odds they are but get on :cheers

Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup FINAL - Carlton vs Brisbane (Mar. 17th) We'll see. Carlton have been no lower than $2.50 in all 3 games this cup and have won all 3 and are on fire. They are playing well at the moment and ill be backing them against Brisbane again, hopefully they are underestimated by the bookies again this round. Jon Brown wont be fit, will be 35,000+ Carlton fans there cheering the Blues home. You mention who is going to man up on Brown? Who is going to man up on Brendan Fevola, a man on absolute fire at the moment capable of consistently kicking goals from outside 50? A midfield with Simpson, Gibbs, Murphy & Stevens mixing superbly together and for once a solid backline who have been nothing short of fantastic in the 3 games played to date. Tall men in Ackland and Cloke have been very good pickups and with a big forward line in Fevola, Lance Whitnall and Josh Kennedy, they actually look to have a half decent side this year. Our team this year compared to the team 2 years ago which won the 2005 Pre Season Final is much improved, we were a rabble 2 years ago and destroyed the West Coast Eagles in that Grand Final, a team that would go on and play in the real Grand Final. I wouldnt write the Blues off here, not at all. The home ground advantage here will be a massive plus for Carlton and if you basing this Carlton lineup on that of the previous few years, all the doubters will be embarassed. Get on the Blues! If they are over $2.00 then back them with high stakes :ok

1.80 Brisbane vs Blues 2.00 @ Sportsbet Nothing much in it.
Those prices are right Koi and looks like one of those posting errors by Sortsbet. The market elswhere is 1.82 Carl, 2.05 Bris or you can get 1.87 (net) Carl at Betfair. With the market being close Sportsbet might not have a good case to cancel bets on Carlton?? I believe Carlton are the value in this, even at under 1.80.

Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup FINAL - Carlton vs Brisbane (Mar. 17th) Johnathon Brown wasn't fit last year in his first game back against Essendon and how many did he kick? :dude Good luck with the Blues Ads but I think Brisbane are good things. You can tell by the way Matthews is approaching the game. The lions are going to be up. Daniel Bradshaw may get a gig too, and that's two high marking forwards the Blues will need to cover. Lions have a better midfield with Black, Power and Riscatelli, and the defence will run off Fevola. The Lions for me at this stage :cheers

Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup FINAL - Carlton vs Brisbane (Mar. 17th) “It’s only the” NAB Cup Grand Final Carlton (Price: $1.82, Rating: 418) v Brisbane (Price: $2.00, Rating: 516)

The Blues once again are at full strength, with Kennedy named after withdrawing late last week. That was a powerful finish by the Blues last week to qualify with their midfield dominating in the last 40 minutes. The Lions travel once more and are re-introducing players desperately short of a gallop including Brown and Bradshaw. If they both play, they will be a headache for Carlton’s defence although Fevola will be a handful for Brisbane. Lance Whitnall hasn’t fired a shot so far, and needs to produce something resembling decent form on Saturday for Carlton to win. Carlton’s defence has held up well not conceding huge scores whilst Brisbane’s midfield has been superb. I get the feeling this match means more for Carlton than Brisbane who don’t have a great record in pre-season Grand Finals. Who could forget that woeful effort against Port a few years back when they scored 3 goals for the match. It looks like more silverware for PrincesPark as Carlton will beat Brisbane by 4 goals plus.

Re: AFL Football - NAB Cup FINAL - Carlton vs Brisbane (Mar. 17th) I think the Blues will get a win tonight. Simply because Brisbane have now had 4 weeks on the road and they also couldn't get there normal accomodation in Albert Park. Staying in Glen Waverley would unsettle most people. Blues under 39.5 points is the go @ $2.25
