330 New: Watch The Wind (f/c 20/1) Rubbish days racing for a Friday! been through all the novice races and nothing obvious sticks out so i'm taking a chance on one in the last at Newcastle, out of the first 5 in the betting only a couple of them have been over hurdles, McCains horse was running a fair race when falling last time but the form is only moderate and Raining Horse looks only very average, the fav is Jass who has run well in bumpers and looks like going off around Evens which is not my idea of a bet, at 20/1 Watch The Wind may give us a run, ran a nice quiet race last time without reaching the leaders but wasnt that far behind The Ring and Royal Flynn who have both ran well since, it has to improve again but at least it has scope to do that and at the price ive seen worse bets.

Concerned over the short priced fav who hasn't really shown much until lto. 5lb higher too so I'll have to oppose DOUBLE DEPUTY. Despite 15 runners, I really think this is a poor field BALLYHALE has a chance but has a big weight, although useful apprentice on top but my preference is for BAYSIDE. Ridden by Graham Lee, this horse seems to be coming to the boil. Makes handicap debut today off a decent mark but the making of this horse could be the extra distance and the better ground. Course winner too. TARAS KNIGHT is another to consider at bigger odds. EW Selection: BAYSIDE
