Nymrod
Re: Slapdash Systems 2007 Slapdash, still trying to put my finger on why this system of yours is working so well. I have noticed that a few of your selections which show value at 10.00am, do not do so a couple of hours later. Not because the bookies price has come in, but due to the fact that the betfair price has drifted!! Yet, many of them are still doing the business. Logic says that the stronger the market then the greater the chance of success for your system, but this does not seem to be what is happening in reality. Although I am obviously benefiting from your selections, I am still confused!!! Any thoughts as to why this may be? :wall but still very :nana

This is just speculation, but if there are better odds available at the bookies than on Betfair, and especially if the better odds are widely available, then anybody with a choice wanting to back the horse would take the bookies' price. So "economic forces" might be making the Betfair prices drift?

Although I am obviously benefiting from your selections, I am still confused!!! Any thoughts as to why this may be? :wall but still very :nana Prices during the day often vary due to people trading. Often a drift or a shortening of a price is nothing to do with a horses chance. Generally when you see such an artificial movement make your lay/bet about 30 mins before the race. I have on occasions got 5/1 for a horse that I expect to be priced 3/1 or less when the racecourse market opens Traders on the exchanges tends to cause over reaction to movements and people forget this is a horserace and think they are trading in stocks. slapdash
Re: Slapdash Systems 2007 Yes to both. I don't think the 10/1 on Turn and River was available when I looked.
