Crouch Potato
I've always had a soft spot for first goalscorer bets, but not living in the UK had never realised the fun that could be had in multi bets! For each Premiership round I will pick 7 players from 7 different games and place a Super Heinz for 0.25 units. I will base my selections partly on instinct, and also on player biorhythms. This weeks selections are: Bet: 0.25units Total Cost: 30units Everton V Aston Villa Juan Pablo Angel Everton V Aston Villa, First Goal Scorer @ 8.00 Open Blackburn V Man Utd Shabani Nonda Blackburn V Man Utd, First Goal Scorer @ 11.00 Open Portsmouth V Fulham Niko Kranjcar Portsmouth V Fulham, First Goal Scorer @ 10.00 Open Chelsea V Watford Andriy Shevchenko Chelsea V Watford, First Goal Scorer @ 4.33 Open Middlesbrough V West Ham Lee Cattermole Middlesbrough V West Ham, First Goal Scorer @ 17.00 Open Sheff Utd V Bolton Nicolas Anelka Sheff Utd V Bolton, First Goal Scorer @ 7.00 Open Wigan V Charlton Emile Heskey Wigan V Charlton, First Goal Scorer @ 7.00 Open Krancjar and Cattermole are almost at the ultimate peak of there biorhythms, whilst Anelka, Heskey, Nonda, Shevchenko and Angel are on the rise or at a very high level. Honory mention goes to Marlon Harewood who missed out to Cattermole due to the latter playing for the favourites and the higher odds. Leroy Lita is at a biorhythmic peak but has not been included as he was not listed at time of betting, and I might forget later on :lol
A-Team
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) the whole concept of biorhythms sounds like pure quackery to me but good luck anyway.

Darren
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) I thought I was alone in not knowing that. I don't get this system at all, fair play if t makes you money, but after 1st selections I am totally lost...not being insulting or anything, but Cattermole first scorer? Why? Crouch Potato
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) To be honest with you I couldn't give you a detailed explanation of what they are and how they work as I don't know too much about them myself, but in a nutshell, they supposedly indicate how 'up for a game' players are. I'm not here to tell you all that they work, or that there's even a significance to them, but I've noticed that they were accurate in a few of the goalscorers from the last couple of weeks. No serious stakes involved, it's just a little bit of goalscorers fun and to see if there is anything in it.

Why?[/quote'] It was him or Harewood, I fancied Boro to score first so went with him. Under this system I'm going to need at least 2 selections to come off to see a return so added him for the value. As I said, it's just a bit of fun and to see if there is anything in the biorhythms. No luck so far, and Villa and Huntelaar have failed too (though Villa an offside goal!). Not giving up yet, going to see this through for a while.
Crouch Potato
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) With only 1 selection remaining (Gudjohnsen) and only 1 winner (Van Nistelrooy), at best this 2nd attempt is going to return about 4pts (Staked 14pts). Nonetheless Crouch and Villa had offside goals and Lita didn't start, so some encouraging signs I guess.
Darren
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) So you get a refund on Lita? Only a nutter would have had Flamini as first scorer today. Are you playing with with money? It looks a bit too iffy a system to do that yet imo
Crouch Potato
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) It's not really a system, it's just an aid I use to pick goalscorers, or gives me somebody to include for games where I don't really fancy anything. Using real money but only a 25c stake in doubles/trebles etc, so it's not much. At the very least it's a little bit of fun that creates some interests in the matches on - nothing serious. Crouch Potato
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) Update: Staked: 42.75pts Returned: 0pts :lol Profit: -42.75 The following are being considered for this coming week, though I will need to remove 1 option: boa morte andrew johnson (definite) saha or ronaldo fabregas kanu (definite) michael essien (definite) agbonlahor or heskey? rochemback or gerrard? danny murphy at this stage might make it boa morte as we goals are a rare thing in city's home games

Crouch Potato
Re: Another First Goalscorers Hunt (Using Biorhythms) Another failed attempt but on another day who knows what might have been. Sheffield, Watford and Newcastle scoring first killed things off pretty badly, but Henry and Kanu still scored first for their teams and Essien hit the post, albeit after the rather unusual occurence of Geremi scoring from a free kick. Here's hoping for a better next week.
