Re: Buick Open US Golf Gone for Robert Allenby top ROW at Betfred's 8/1,each way(quarter odds 12345).Takes the usual suspects(Woods,Furyk and Di Marco) out of the equation.Singh and Ogilvy rightfully shorter in this market,but would like to think Allenby can get in top 5,at least,given his recent form? 4th last year

Re: Buick Open US Golf A lob sided event to me this one, with half a dozen class players at poor prices and then any price the rest all with roughly the same chance. The side markets are also weak with only 6 Europeans playing and not many more Aussies. fancy Furyk a bit but not at 10/1! so will look elswhere. M.Weir Top ROTW 12/1 BetFred (1/4 12345) With Singh being a short price for this market we get some value here with a player that fits the bill for this event, its rarely won by a inexperienced player and Weir's course knowledege will help, he's not had a great year but makes a lot of cuts and could give us a decent run. As Bobby says above Betfred are playing dangerous figures here with the place terms, cant see it lasting! B.Davis Top European 7/2 Bet365 (1/3 1,2) Might look a poor value bet but with only 6 players in the market and 1/3odds first two we get a chance of a free bet for coming second. Davis has been very consistant in the last 6 events he's played and will be disappointed if he cant see off the likes of Chopra, Levet, Gronberg, Bjornstadd and Cejka. BH

Re: Buick Open US Golf My two this week: Geoff Ogilvy around 24/1 Currently ranked 4th on the PGA money leaders board, Ogilvy has finished tied 12th, 18th, 2nd and 29th in the last four years at the Buick. Won the US Open ofcourse and finished 16th at the British Open on last start. Jim Furyk around 11/1 Furyk’s got an outstanding record in the Buick Open, having finished no worse than 10th in the last 5 years including victory in 2003. Combined with some excellent form this year including victory at the Wachovia Championship in May, 2nd at the US Open and 4th on his latest start at the Cialis Western Open. DaddyG

Dont know much about his opposition but surely with his record at this tournament, 1.4 to have the best first round when paired with 2 players ranked at positions 283 (geiberger) and 749 (leggatt) seems reasonable These 2 players can be backed at odds of 850 and 710 to win the tournament - surely they cant even get close to tiger Any thoughts
