GaF
Re: Sporting Odds Merge with Paradise Poker Strange one Morl - I'm logged in ok :ok Not sure that there is much to worry about if SO adopt the Paradise software........ If it is Boss you like, there are plenty of skins that you can continue to play on Boss with (poker.co.uk and Virgin for example). If it's SO that you like - well that will continue to exist I should think, even if they operate on a different platform - there will probably be the same promotions/type of promotions/team behind SO. morlspin
Re: Sporting Odds Merge with Paradise Poker Right, just took matters into my own hands lol sod IPN response Ive been having massive probs with my desktop pc and had to format my hard drive and re-install windows, ln the 2 days it was broke, i have been using my laptop for the internet, and finally figured it out If you select the save password function when you log on, it wont allow you to access the site using a different pc......so deleted the software off my laptop , reinstalled it on my pc and logged in without any problems surely IPN response would know these type of things, especially as i have told them what i have done Anyway, all done n dusted, apart from the 90gb of files ive lost off my desktop :(
joelegge
Re: Sporting Odds Merge with Paradise Poker Interesting reading :-) All that i can say is don't get worried about losing the leagues, tourneys or the ability to use Boss on your SportingOdds account. No plans to deprive you from any of this. I won't comment on Boss customer service so that i don't get myself in to trouble. Most of our own customer service guys do know what they're doing but they have a very tough time having to deal with the Boss software and relying on Poker Response for info too. SullDaBull - email me at [email protected] and i'll sort out your problem. All the best, Joe SportingOdds PM
robilaruk
Re: Sporting Odds Merge with Paradise Poker oh dear - I hope no one tells my laptop and desktop that they can't share, as I can swap and change at will Damo If you select the save password function when you log on, it wont allow you to access the site using a different pc......so deleted the software off my laptop , reinstalled it on my pc and logged in without any problems
robilaruk
Re: Sporting Odds Merge with Paradise Poker :clap NOW THIS IS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE very well done Joe:clap too much bitching about BM problems and not enough congratulations when people like Joe do the right think IMO for Sporting Odds, who use the BM network which they little or no control over - its not Sporting's problem most of the time its BM (okay off my soap box now :tongue2 ) and as you said - interesting reading - so Sporting are not moving off the Boss network then? (HURRAH IF NOT:hope ) Damo quote=joelegge]Interesting reading :-) All that i can say is don't get worried about losing the leagues, tourneys or the ability to use Boss on your SportingOdds account. spannerjago
Sporting Odds swap to Paradise I see that SO is changing over to Paradise now. They have changed their homepage and I have just been told to log out of the software by midnight. The homepage says that you can stay on the Boss software or update onto paradise and receive a $25 bonus. So whats everyone doing? I think I'll stay on boss for a while and see what everyone who changes says about Paradise. Can you use Poker Office/Tracker on Paradise? GaF
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise Erm .... think it may be best to sit tight for the moment - If it's one or the other, we may want to finish this months MTT league first ..... I'll contact Joe for clarification :ok
viggosen
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise Wonder if CL will move or stay. If you do download the paradise softare via the link will you then be cut off from using the old boss software? I mean if CL move to paradise, I guess we can just as well move with it, if we dont like Paradise, we can then just find another Boss site, outsite the sportinging odds group. joelegge
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise SportingOdds have moved across on to Paradise poker - i'm sure this will please some of you Boss haters and be a pain for others. We will continue to let players play on the Boss software for the foreseeable future but will also be encouraging players to try out our Paradise offering. All existing bonuses, promotions and Leagues will run as normal on Boss in November and i expect most of them will also run in Dec (Champs League def will). Furthermore, we will also start offering similar bonuses + Leagues for SportingOdds players on the Paradise software – so there will be even more value on offer. Our obvious final intention is that eventually all SportingOdds players will join us on Paradise and to motivate everyone to do this we will hopefully make it a great experience by continuing to offer what was popular on Boss and hopefully eradicate all of the problems which we suffered on there. Over the next few weeks i will try and keep everyone up to date as we try to launch move tournaments and bonuses on SportingOdds Paradise. Cheers Joe
Sharpe1ne
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise Yeah i'm gonna stay on Boss, never had any major problems with the software and with the new updates on Boss it seems they are now including private games in the sit-n-go section(mind you there are no stt tourny's up at the moment. There is one problem and i'm sure i have an account with Paradise poker with exactly the same player name Sharpe1ne what 's gonna happen with that and what if peoples playing name is already taken by someone else. Also the other reason for staying on Boss is i do both my betting and my poker off one account,it's nice and easy and no shifting money around. happyhornet
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise Anyone play on paradise? whats it like? Damo I have a dormant account with paradise. It's okay. My main gripe was the lack of MTT's at a civilised hour for UK players. I'm not sure it was the most robust site either, there were plenty of server-down moments. To be fair, I haven't played on there in several months so much may have changed.
GaF
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise I had a dormant account with Paradise too (from gawd knows when) ..... this caused me a few problems as you have to get into your paradise account through a Paradise shortcut and Sporting Odds through a Sporting Odds Paradise short cut (though they both can use the same installation) .... not too tricky though paradise customer service were a little slow to pick up on this (or I was bad at explaining my problem) - took 3 emails - though they do respond VERY fast :ok I can now get into Paradise with my SO balance and can still get into Boss with my SO Balance :ok
Hedonist
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise I have money in accounts at both places, will have to wait and see what happens. The one think I dislike at Paradise is the $1 added cost of the $5 sit and goes, on Sporting Odds it is only 50 cents.
spannerjago
Re: Sporting Odds swap to Paradise Has anyone noticed that the rake structure on Boss has changed. I played on the 5c/10c tables last night to get into the 50up club. After about 30 mins I clicked to register and it told me I had played 0 hands. I cant find anywhere what the rake situation is now. Anyone have any ideas? GaF, Can you confirm that if I download Paradise I can still use SO on Boss as well? If that's the case I will download and claim the bonus. Just to clarify - your Paradise and SportingOdds Paradise accounts/balances are completely different. The SportingOddsParadise account seems to link into you SO Sportsbook account in exactly the same way as at Boss :ok

If that's the case I will download and claim the bonus. Just a note about the bonus - its paid back at $5 per 100 points, 1 pt for every $1 or more rake, or 1 pt per $1 entry fee. And as it says you don't have to play any hands to be entitiled to it just join a table with $25 or more - i sat on an empty table and got mine.
