Aykay1
MONSIEUR BOND is the selection - forecast 4/1 This one has form at the highest level last season, finishing a good 6th in the 2000 guineas and either winning or finishing 2nd in listed and group races at York, Goodwood and Epsom. This looks like the best form on offer today. Last time out, he raced over a shorter trip of 6 furlongs. He finished a close 5th from a bad draw (beaten only 1 length) The first 5 home were drawn (16,17,12,3,4) thus confirming the bias towards high drawn runners at Doncaster. Monsieur Bond met trouble in running more than once and with a clear run may well have won the race. Over a shorter trip than ideal and from a bad draw that was a good performance on his seasonal debut. Its going to be tight betwen my selection and ORIENTOR who finished 2nd in the aforementioned race. I feel that the step up to 7 furlongs will help MONSIEUR BOND more as all of his best from is over this distance whereas ORIENTORS form is over 6 furlongs. MONSIEUR BOND - forecast 4/1 racing post.
