brilliantber
Re: Golf - Bell South First thoughts are Oberholser who was leading at Sawgrass up to the final round. Hes playing some good golf at the moment and can see him challenging.
Tulenos
Re: Golf - Bell South The thing is how he will react to the disaster last week as he plummeted down the ranks after even challenging for the top spot. Hopefully he's recovered already.
Bobbyhead
Re: Golf - Bell South Been a bad few weeks for me with golf betting, but will persevere...Gone for a top 10 finish for Padraig Harrington. Not had the best of starts this year, but surely that'll change sooner or later? He likes this course, and has posted two top 10's here in past.He is 9/4(Skybet),2/1(SJ) & just 7/4(PP),while at time of writing,is a value-looking 4/1,with Betfair. We'll see! :tongue2

BillyHills
Re: Golf - Bell South Ive had a good look at this and no matter how hard i try i cant get away from Phil Mickelson, this is made for him and it helps that he's showing some decent form just now. You know me i dont go for outright betting, its just too competative but i'm not going for a big price just for the sake of it either! Paddy Power are going 1/4 odds first 6 places so i'm taking them on although you can a point bigger elsewhere, it just makes sense to take the extra place. Anyway at 7/1 you get 7/4 for first 6, which is better than backing Mickelson for a top 5 place at other firms and hopefully collect on the win aswell. P.Mickelson 8.0 @ Paddy's E/W 1/4, 123456. Top European Market D. Howell 8/1 E/W Paddy's 1/4, 123. Like the look of David Howell here in a small European field, the betting is led by Harrington and Donald who both have bad weeks to get over. Howell can be frustrating but has the game to do well here. Howell has ruinned winning chances on the Saturday 4 times now in the states, if he can get that one right he will thereabouts soon. J.Rose 18/1 E/W S.Odds 1/4, 123 Justin Rose is too inconsistant to get too involved with but he does have the potential to win one of these now he has settled in the states. 18/1 is too big and a small wager is value. Good luck guys

I agree entirely mate, I can't get away from Lefty this week. Usually likes a big week right before the Masters to assist his preparations and had a good week last week. If he'd taken 4 pars on the 17th he'd have been right in contention. Another guy who had a good week at Sawgrass and has good course form is John Rollins so I'll take him each way as well. 3pts ew Mickelson 7/1 Paddy Power 2pts ew Rollins 40/1 Paddy Power. Good luck all.

davidmphill
Re: Golf - Bell South Pick 1 for me this week is a guy who I and many others have already won off the back of and thats the impressive South African Rory Sabbatini. Available at a huge price for a guy whos top of PGA Tour money list. He started the season well with 2 top 10's, finished runner up in the AT&T and the following week landed the spoils at the Nissan Open. He missed the cut at Sawgrass which many a good player has done over the years and isn't anything to be worried about. I expect him to comeback with a good week before going for glory at Augusta. A very big price that for me has to taken advantage of. Rory Sabbatini 1pt each way @ 41 paddypower 1/4 odds 123456
davidmphill
Re: Golf - Bell South Pick 2 is the old warhorse that is Davis Love III. Again he missed the cut at Sawgrass last week but on his day he can hit it long and accurate and has been performing well in patches this year and finished runner up in the WGC matchplay. After that he performed well in the Ford Championship at Doral finishing 12th. His driving accuracy hasnt been as good this season as it has been and if he can address his accuracy off the tee then he can have a rewarding week here before going to Augusta. davidmphill
Re: Golf - Bell South Before missing the cut like the rest of my picks last week at Sawgrass South African Tim Clark had had a very solid start to the season. He'd made every cut and had a top 10 and 2 12th place finishes. Last season he had his best season on tour and he looks set to continue South Africas tradition of producing top notch consistent golfers. Accuracy is key to his game and its no shock to find him near the top of the Driving Accuracy and Greens in Regulation stats on tour. Hes the 4th best with birdies averaged per round and for me is a great pick to do well this week. BillyHills
Re: Golf - Bell South Not foolish Kev, think he'll win alright myself but Golf can make you look a bit silly at times and i was just thinking of protecting my Sports-Punter points more than anything. Just want David Howell to have a good Saturday, which would be a miracle, his Saturday stats in the US is amazing, if you want a bet back his opponent in his 2 ball tomorrow;) Hope i'm wrong! kevshat
Re: Golf - Bell South Given what happened to me last week mate, I'm tempted to lay some of it off but he's so far clear it would take one of Lefty's worst ever rounds to not be ahead come end of play tomorrow so I'll let it ride and see where we are tomorrow I think. I see John Rollins continued the awful Friday run for my picks. Never even threatened the cut!
