sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses Sweet Wake dissapointing. Accordion Etoile would have won the arkle but fell. gutted. Hardy Eustace got 3rd returning small profits. Moulin Riche. Unplaced. Irish Hussar finished 3rd at 66/1. Saves the day. :D
sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event2.35 Cheltenham SelectionDarkness (Each-Way) Strength10/10 Date15/03/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningThis horse has been a revelation since going chasing and looks a great each way bet here. Although his jumping can be a bit iffy he has yet to fall and gets the job done. I will admit he can't afford to make too many mistakes in a race like this but if we take into account he has won at the track before very easily and also won his last 3 races then he is definetly the form pick. He will never say die and gallops all the way to the line, just the horse you need for this sort of race. Our Ben represents a danger but he steps up in trip and may not get up the hill meanwhile Commercial Flyer has done nothing yet to merit his price of 7/2 in a Grade 1 Novice Chase against this calibre. sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event3.15 Cheltenham SelectionMoscow Flyer Strength10/10 Date15/03/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningI cant beleive the price Moscow Flyer is going to start for this race. His last 2 runs were because of his stable form. He may have demised a little bit but that is only natural and if anything near his best here he will win, simple as that. Barry Geraghty is very confident he can beat this field and although Fota Island is a big danger I cant see anything getting near Moscow and his record at Cheltenham speaks volumes. The grandstand at Cheltenham will vibrate with the roar should he be in front jumping the last.
sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event2.00 Cheltenham SelectionMr Pointment (Each-Way) Strength5/10 Date15/03/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningIs a huge price for this race and deserves to be. Has only won a few small novice hurdles but has an attractive profile being lightly raced and represents nice value to maybe clinch 3rd place here. Charlie Egerton also has his stable in fine fettle and I have a feeling he could just sneak into a place behind Denman who is the one to beat without a doubt. sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event4.00 Cheltenham SelectionPole Star (Each-Way) Strength5/10 Date15/03/2006 Bookmaker/Price>Paddy Power @ SP (Back) ReasoningHas been dissapointing on his last few runs when tried over fences. That obviously didn't suit and the return to hurdles should favour him here. He is racing off a nice handicap mark and has proved he gets up the hill before as he was just 3 lengths off No Refuge in last years Royal and Sunalliance Novices Hurdle. At a huge double figure price he appeals as a very nice each way bet with Liam Heard taking 5lbs on board claiming what could be a valuable 5lbs. sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event2.00 Cheltenham SelectionTurpin Green (Each-Way) Strength10/10 Date16/03/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningThis horse is still very young and green and showed that last time out when he had a grade 1 novice chase at his mercy before he nearly refused at the final flight. Nicky Richards is sure he won't make that mistake again today and its hard to see him not being involved in the finish here as he is a very classy horse. Reveillez is the favourite but has done nothing much yet to suggest he should be as short as he is and he is more a lay than a back.
sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event2.35 Cheltenham SelectionOur Vic Strength10/10 Date16/03/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningI have always regarded this horse very highly and he finally won a grade 1 last time out and I reckon he can go on from that. Martin Pipe is not in the best of form and this horse is very inconsistent but if he puts his best foot forward today he is the best horse in the race and should take the world of beating. His record at Cheltenham isn't to enlighting but his win in the paddy power in November was impressive and a repeat of that would see him in the winners enclosure here again. sensibleboy
Re: Sensible Horses SportHorse Racing Event3.15 Cheltenham SelectionMighty Man Strength10/10 Date16/03/2006 Bookmaker/PriceLadbrokes @ SP (Back) ReasoningIs a young improving horse and has a very attractive profile. He has been unlucky not to win on his last 2 starts but I feel compensation awaits in the big one here. He can come off the bridle but will finish like a train up the cheltenham hill as he has proved on his past 2 runs here. Baracouda is getting old now and won't have the speed to match this horse should they both be upsides jumping the last.

He is very hard to keep out the frame and has the heart of lion and will keep fighting til the end. He has run well on all his 3 runs at this course and the 2m5f trip is just about perfect for him. He beat Reveillez last time giving him 10lbs and the form has been franked since. Great each way bet and can't see him being out the first 4 in this and fully expect him to win.
