Mr Intensity
Is there an alternative that is better suited to tournaments rather than ring games? I know GaF? uses Poker Tracker and the output is great but I remember him saying it doesn't deal too well with tournaments. Thanks.
GaF
Re: Alternative to Poker Tracker? I wouldn't recommend PT at all for tournaments - however maybe I'm using it wrong. The big rival to PT is Poker Office - but I've never used it...... Both have trial versions - so give them a bash..... Bear in mind - tournaments, require you to move through the gears - whereas cash games are static - so tournaments are far far harder to analyse data on....... For far more basic information, Poker-Spy isn't a bad option......... (but for the money, I'd rather PT or PO)

mcgin
Re: Alternative to Poker Tracker? Mr I, I have both Poker T & Poker O. My preference is Poker O and it is quite good at collecting data on tournaments (although a bit ropey dealing with re-buys). GAFs comments on tournament data being difficult to analyse are very true though, as you'll get warps in your data (e.g. if you win a tournament you end up with ridiculous figures in the amount of tournament dollars won for particular positions)

GaF
Re: Alternative to Poker Tracker? No - afraid not - they don't have a good enough hand history file to support it....... Maybe that explains the bad play there to an extent - you're not up against masses of players with "aids".....
