How do we all stand on this topic ?Anyone one know what happens in other sports  i.e. Do they get paid elsewhere or is it just part of the job ? Would we actually miss these interviews or does it enhance the sport and how it`s perceived , would like to hear other peoples views . An alternative is for them to get paid but for the money to go into the injured jockeys fund .

Must admit to having very little interest in them ........ when I watch racing on TV I tend to have the sound muted and only turn it on when the stalls open and turn it off again when they cross the finish line .....

In fact now that I  no longer have the racing channels I usually only watch the races on the Racing Post site or replays on the Sporting Life site and they don't show the pre and post-race interviews

So I don't care if the TV companies just stop doing them if they don't want to stump up

No idea what other sports do ....... I think in football the press conferences are written into contracts as part of the job. I suppose the difference is that trainers are self employed and won't have employment contracts. Also I can't imagine that players are paid for the short post match interviews
