I don't really know much about the vdw method only bits I've seen or picked up from friends so I was wondering if anyone has a deeper knowledge of it ?....and can answer a question 

I know the ability rating is calculated from total win prize money /100 then divided by number of wins ...so 20000 prize with 8 wins would be 200 /8 =25 etc

Consistency is last 3 runs added together with a max of 10 for any one figure .....so ....111 would be 3 .....405 would 19 .....414 would be 9 etc 

Now as far as I'm aware you have a 3rd rating which is for arguments sake a form rating which could be your own ...time form ....whatever ....so let's for arguments sake say I use my own rating 

So a horse example could look like 

Horse   class.27.  Consistency 5 ..form 125 ....

Does anyone know how to calculate the final vdw rating using these figures ???? You can't just add so I know I'm missing something 😕

Might be worth saying what it stands for! Feels like something I’ve heard of but can’t remember and not getting anywhere with a search. Unless it’s to do with manufacturing carpets!
