The form of John L Sullivans runners up effort over course and distance has been franked to say the least, although he was easily beaten by Good Morning Alex that day that horse has won twice since, once in this grade (Class 6) and then again in a Class 4 Handicap and is now rated 75. John L Sullivan was rated 57 when second and is now just 2lb higher tonight. The 4th, 7th and 8th also went on to win next time out as well as the winner with the 3rd and 5th home being runners up next time out.

Favourite for tonights race is Atlantic Gamble who broke his duck at the 5th time of asking with that form also being franked by the 4th placed horse who won next time up, Atlantic Gamble has yet to prove himself on turf so the percentage call is to back John L Sullivan to win and place, drifting somewhat on the exchanges he's currently trading at 5.9 and a currently estimated 2.38 in the place market.......................won comfortably at a Bfsp of 4.79
