But a good win for Yukigeshizuku 3/1 into 11/4 Ohi 11:30 Neo Tokio win poor performer on first three starts second last in big fields each time. change of yard and a two month break sparked form from the clouds and a run of six consecutive wins. Two wins in one month but generally winning at month intervals and last seen bolting up last month. Did not appreciate the extended mile last time a long way behind a horse he beat comfortably over this trip the previous run. Several wins and placed efforts prior to that time. Due to have raced last year in September and was withdrawn . Was to have run from stall 6. the horse in stall 5 duly won at 80/1. Had never placed before and subsequently has never placed again since. Form figures were 0-001000. Unlikely to need a run and bold big expected. Going down by 2.75 then 2 lengths then hitting the bar latest by a neck to a godolphin runner. Gets the same 11draw today and should go close under regular jockey Masaaki Kuwamura. Lightly raced and no win since New Year’s Eve. But run cycle pattern altered and not seen since well off the pace and behind one of these last month. Glint of retained ability five runs back. OHI 12:50 Rhein Angel win comes here in rich vein of form and drawn in stall 3 alongside non runners in stall 5 also absentee in stall 7. hard to beat if receiving all the benefits. Kitasan Etoile each way this runner is having third run for new yard. Only win 22/7/22 on good ground. Kept to a strict run cycle by old yard involving early mid and late month runs. This structure adhered to by new yard but first two runs on heavy ground and given nearly a month off before this early month return which is not in keeping with old yard cycle. OHI 1250 reverse forecast TUITION Win shaped as though coming to hand for new yard on third run. A sprinter and good third on heavy latest over the trip. Cosmo Aube each way reverse forecast very lightly raced this year just seven times but fourteen runs in 2022 yielded a pattern that produced a win in September and August with a good run in October. Not seen again til June 2023 and won in August, repeat attempt in September failed and reduction in outings. more intensive but same pattern now. Fourth for Newmarket trainer Robert Cowell at royal ascot and a winner of listed stakes in Ireland off 96 under Billy Lee at Tipperary. rated half that now have slid down the scale in Hong Kong to just 41. Yesterday’s Newmarket winner was beaten 1.25 lengths on the now called CALIFORNIA VOCE’s each way last Irish appearance. the ratings clearly don’t read the same in Hong Kong but Matilda Piccotte rating was in triple figures yesterday. has had settling rides and yesterdays result won’t have been lost on connections. Hugh Bowman on a four timer here and retains the ride. Another ex Joseph O’Brien cast off though🙄. Just three runs back home and breaks maiden at first attempt. Voce Del Palio. Wiped its face at 5/1 and essentially third in theoretical terms and improving all the time. Small return of stake. Besides the immediate form which decides the prices these juveniles are much of a muchness and the key pointers therefore on top of the form is the draw. One of these will be doubling up for the first time. the chances of a back to back are enhanced by the form runner being in stall one. Three places runs leading up to a win represents unusually strong form so he’s the first port of call. on the physics front stall 9 could also go well getting cover from ten and traverse with stall 1. Has been a revelation since moving up from sprints and has shaped well over a mile on last four runs culminating in a six length win latest. Seems logical to step up in trip again by 209 yards and on breeding may well take it in stride but looks value against the likely favourite here. Draw not ideal but has run well from all over since switching distances and all runs suggest will get further. Illusion has also caught my eye 👁. Yard switch and change to current jockey may well work the oracle here. This horse is a multiple beaten favourite and besides being a favourite has been touched off as many times. Switch to a new yard has altered sps and performance and could go that step closer to winning today under this new jock who handled horse well on debut.
