Fader
The German Masters gets underway in 3 days. Mensure Suljovic won this event last year, beating Van Der Bergh 8-2. Van Der Bergh had a fantastic event last year knocking out Van Gerwen and Gary Anderson but losing in the final, where his average dipped to 88. Here is the draw. It's quite a small event that will go on for just 2 days. Every player pretty much plays a german qualifier and then the tournament gets serious when we go into the Quarter-finals. Not one of the german "qualifiers" have won a match in the last 2 years. Last years winner, Mensur, looks to have a much harder path this year. He would have Van Gerwen in the Quarter-finals and Rob Cross in a potential Semi-final and perhaps Gary Anderson in a final. P.Wright Vs R.Marijanovic G.Anderson Vs N.Kurz D.Gurney Vs C.Bunse J.Wade Vs K.Munch M.Van Gerwen Vs M.Schindler M.Suljovic Vs M.Langendorf R.Cross Vs M.Hopp R.Van Barneveld Vs G.Clemens All to be played Friday. Best of 11. Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Final on the Saturday. Final best of 15. With all the uncertainty of Gary Anderson and this being a non-ranked event, I think the top half of the draw is the best place to look for some value. Gary in 2 years here hasn't got past the Semi-finals. Peter Wright won this event 2 years ago when he beat Taylor in the final. Last year he got to the Semi-finals until he walked into eventual winner Mensur. I think Wright is the value here at 10/1. I'll also take a small punt on Max Hopp. He has had abit of bad luck here in his 2 years. Gary Anderson in R1 2017 and MVG last year. But last year he looked good. He went out 6-4 with a 95.25 average and on his day he really has the quality to battle anybody. 2pts E/W P.Wright to win the German Masters 10/1 ladbrokes 0.5pts E/W M.Hopp to win German Masters 66/1 sportingbet
Fader
Peter Wright wins. Lovely little title there for Peter who has now 2 wins and a final in the last 3 years here. vikki37 and kroni
