any reason there is no flat racing in britain this sunday?

supposed to be the flat season, yet the summer jump season has  2 meetings

Dont get me going on the racing calendar Corky, its a right old mess.

Last week we had no jumps for a day or two then three all on the next day! Its a pain in the arse for trainers and jockeys too. They cant be at more than one place at once.

The flat season calendar needs ripping up and starting again, we often get 4 or 5 meetings on a Saturday and not much on a Sunday.

Later on this month we have Chester, York, Salisbury, Goodwood and Haydock on the Saturday and no flat racing on the Sunday???? It just doesn't make sense to me. Why not just have Haydock or Chester which are not far apart on separate days???
