Interesting and classy race ...Examiner looks a decent sort and is an improving type ....couldn't put anyone off backing him at 16/1 but top two are even better value at 25/1 and 33/1 ....both have been showing a decent level of form of late even though not sparkling as such but they both receive nice racing weights for this race and that gives them a decent chance in what is always a wide open race with big prices no strange thing ....great value bets

No winner last week as the one remaining ticket was on Growl in the Ayr Gold Cup and he could only mange second. It means we have a rollover of £190,424 for the Win Fund and the Bonus is up to £48,896.

Last week 40 lucky punters landed the Place Dividend which paid a whopping £561.50.

This weeks action comes from Newmarket, Haydock and Market Rasen with the big race being the Cambridgeshire handicap at 4.10

Leg 1: 2.20 NM: Best Of Days 9/4 Skybet

Unusually we start off we a Group 2 race and not a competitive handicap, only 8 runners and we have Irish raiders led by Douglas Macarthur. He looks poor value to me and needs to improve so my vote goes to the Godolphin first string Best Of Days. He won on his debut at Sandown and then last time was beaten in a photos at York and looks sure to improve the further he goes.

Leg 2: 2.35 MR: Wisty 15/2 BetVictor

Our first race over jumps and a surprising low turn out for the money. 10 runners line up for a Listed handicap on good ground and last years winner Cloonacool comes back after a lay off. He might need this so it could be fought out between C/D winner Red Tornado and the improving Wisty who won by 17 lengths last time out.

Leg 3: 3.10 MR: Wadswick Court 9/1 BetVictor

Listed Chase and a wide open look about it. Six of the 12 runners won last time out so come here on raised handicap marks, of those i like Wadswick Court, i thought he won impressively at Cartmel and has improved since joining the Bowens. Of the others Fox Appeal is a classy customer and Ballykan looks interesting for the Twiston-Davies yard.

Leg 4: 4.10 NM: Very Talented 18/1 Skybet

The Cambridgeshire Handicap, one of the most competitive races of the whole season with 35 runners thundering down the Newmarket straight. Its anyones guess which side of the draw is going to be preferred so i'm just going with a couple i fancy on decent weights. Banksea from the very shrewd Luca Cumani yard and Very Talented, the lowest weighted of the Godolphin runners. He was a promising 3rd last time and just gets the nod.

Leg 5: 4.30 HAY: Humidor 

A Class 2 5f sprint and a decent turnout here with some very talented inform runners. Top weight Humidor has been knocking on the door lately and he looks sure to go well once again. Robot Boy will surely land one of these handicaps before the season ends and Lincoln goes for a quick hat-trick and is in really good heart at present.

Leg 6: 5.05 HAY: Shore Step

A 17-runner 6f sprint to finish things off and the John Gosden runner Edward Lewis will be popular after his second here at Haydock last time. I quite like the chances of Shore Step who is looking well handicapped and also Englishman can be given a squeak after a couple of no shows due to poor draws.
