BillyHills
Nap runs at Catterick; 410 Catterick: Looking Well 7/2 Betfred/PP Nicky Richards is in good nick with his limited string these days, Looking Well was quite a progressive hurdler last season, first winning a novice at Newcastle then improve to take a handicap off 120. Started his chasing career this season and opened up with a tame effort over an inadequate trip at Carlisle where he was beaten 10 lengths by On Tour. Last time he was stepped up to 3m here and kept tabs on the very useful Definitely Red until the last fence, he was beaten 5 lengths, probably could have been more to be fair but thatĀ winnerĀ is a 140+ horse so he must have a chance in a 0-140 handicap off a mark of 123. Trotter
Unusual runner at Plumpton this afternoon in the 2.00pm Ar Mad is a grade one and grade two winning novice chaser running in a handicap novice chase as his Arkle prep run.......which can't have happened very often ! Only two rivals have turned up and both are out of the weights The point of interest is that to date Ar Mad has shown himself a much better runner on RH tracks.....they want to see how he now handles a LH track (and a sharp one at that! ) before deciding whether to go to Cheltenham Should be interesting to watch because we often talk about horse being better going LH or RH but it's generally not so straightforward.......but with this fellow we know he's good, he should have the race to himself, he's probably going to front run so let's see how he takes the bends
