The Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle > Thursday April 9th @ 3:25pm

Re: The Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle > Thursday April 9th @ 3:25pm The New One would be the obvious choice. Has a tendency to jump to his right, which is negated on the hurdles course as the tend to race close to the stands rail. Only snag ATM is the form of the stable. Jezki would be interesting if he comes here stepping up in trip

Re: The Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle > Thursday April 9th @ 3:25pm Aintree 3:25 - Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle(Grade 1) (1) 2m4f In the Aintree Hurdle, there is no doubt Arctic Fire will be all the rage after his impressive run when 2nd behind Faugheen in the Champion Hurdle. He will appreciate the step up in trip massively and with Ruby Walsh now riding him, he has to have a very big chance indeed. Rock On Ruby skipped the Cheltenham Festival to go for Aintree so you can be sure he will be fit as a flee and won't lack sharpness. He won two races at Cheltenham either side of the New Year, the trip is no problem, but he has never won at Aintree from three attempts. For me, the class horse in the race is still JEZKI and looking at him this year, I think he has been crying out for this step up in trip. He travelled really well in his last couple of runs, including the Champion Hurdle, but when push came to shove, he went out like a light. The extra few furlongs should suit him here and he has won over this trip at Fairyhouse in the past so I am sure McCoy will get a good tune out of him. He is nowhere near the force he was last year, but this isn't the strongest of races and he is value in my eyes. Advised Bet: Jezki - 4 Points WIN @ 11/4 BetVictor http://www.horse-racing.org/thursday-aintree-tips--the-lady-bosses-the-boys-and-a-true-champion-returns-20150408

Re: The Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle > Thursday April 9th @ 3:25pm 3.25 Aintree: Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle (Grade 1) (2m4f) .........The New One won this last year and it often goes to a placed horse from the Champion Hurdle, this year could do likewise as we have Arctic Fire in the line up from the powerful Willie Mullins yard. Often the second string he now has his chance to finally steal the limelight and show us what he is made of and the horse certainly deserves a crack at this Grade 1 contest. He won a novice hurdle at Punchestown back in May and has been placed in good company five time since, twice behind Hurricane Fly and has also had a few tussles with Jezki in which the score stands at 2-1 in his favour. 2pts Arctic Fire 2/1 >Bet365 Full Preview
