England Women and USA Women have both qualified for this summers Womens World Cup, and will be using this game to test themselves against good standard opponents in preparation for the summer. USA Women are ranked no 2 in the world at the moment after Germany. England are ranked no.6, their highest ranking for three years. Both countries have had new managers in the last 18 months, Jill Ellis for USA and Mark Sampson for England. England won 10 out of 10 World Cup qualification games, conceding only one goal. But some of these games were against much weaker teams. England lost 2-0 and 3-0 to leading sides France and Germany in recent friendlies. Similarly, USA won 9 out of 10 qualifiers, conceding two goals (in a 2-1 defeat by Mexico). But they haven't done as well against the top teams, losing 2-0 to France on Sunday and only winning one of the four previous friendlies (against China, Brazil and Argentina). With both sides coming off disappointing losses, I think they will both be cautious tonight wanting to avoid another defeat. I wouldn't be surprised to see a low-scoring game with USA as the more likely winners (they are odds-on favourites). I think both sides would probably be happy with a draw. It's hard to see any clear value at the moment. No bet (Live internet streams should be easy to find as the game is being shown live in the USA.)
