Re: Serie B Eurobet > October 11th - 13th Latina V Bologna Latina +0 @ 1.675 (Pinnacle) > 5% BR This is the kind of contest I would normally leave alone but Bologna have such a vast array of absences for this game I feel Latina are worth backing with some draw cover. Nearly all of Bologna’s first team defense is missing for the Latina clash with Domenico Maietta, Rafa Paez and Archimede Morleo injured while Gyorgy Garics is away on international duty. Key central midfielder Matuzalem is suspended which is a big blow as he basically runs the show at this level while fellow first choice midfielder Federico Casarini is also out injured. Pacey forward Karim Laribi has also suffered an injury in training this week, he makes the squad for Latina but you wonder how much game time Lopez will get out of him on Sunday. Key centre-forward Daniele Cacia hasn’t been able to train fully this week due to a slight injury but will make it for the Latina game. A lot of these players are absolutely vital to Bologna so you would have to say the Rossoblu look vulnerable heading into the Latina game. So what about Latina? First choice keeper Raffaele Di Gennaro is suspended for this match which is a blow while talented midfielder Federico Viviani is away on international duty. Latina themselves have had a very sluggish start to the campaign under new coach Mario Beretta. I don’t think the new manager is to blame as the former Siena coach has a decent pedigree at this level and has not really changed the side significantly from last year. Let’s not forget it was a side which ultimately finished 3^rd and just missed out on promotion after Cesena emerged victorious from the playoff final. There is more expectation and pressure on Latina to succeed this season which is probably their biggest drawback as last year they could express themselves with a psychological freedom which has been slightly diminished under the new weight of expectation. In addition one or two grafts have not taken so well in 2014/2015. Left wing-back Andrea Rossi is proving to be a poor replacement for Masahudu Alhassan but in his defense it could be argued that Latina’s new full-backs would be better suited to a flat back four rather than the current 3-5-2 formation. Beretta’s reluctance to change module could potentially be a hindrance rather than the logical and pragmatic choice that most coaches would have opted for themselves. Despite this I expect Latina to get stronger and stronger as the season progresses, they should be serious promotion contenders come May. Ultimately we should still view Latina as a side which is very difficult to beat on their own turf. If they improve their game management and cut out individual errors and lapses of concentration they will soon climb the table. This new look Bologna side is progressing well under Diego Lopez. They still have a lot of decent forward players available for this match and that is really the main danger for our selection. Despite this Bologna’s list of absences cannot be ignored here and for me they are opposable in this particular situation. Latina’s 1X2 price should be around EVS all things considered so to get them at 2.5 opens the door to back them with draw cover on the AH. The market price is simply not representative of the situation on the ground here so I feel there is clear long term value to this selection. There is no such thing as bankers in betting, only opportunities, we’ve been presented with one here so we might as well go for it.
