Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Everton – Wolfsburg Everton to win @ 2.02 Marathonbet Everton is back to European competitions after 4 years and as their coach Roberto Martinez said they are going to make the most out of this opportunity. This in conjunction with the bad results in Premiere League after 4 games which they have left them in the 11th place conclude that the Toffees will take very seriously this competition and that they are going to fight every game to the end especially the ones in their home. Wolfsburg also returns to Europa League after 4 years and they also have made a bad start in their league ( 0-2-1) plus they have a bad tradition in games in England

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th 4pts Partizan (+0.75AH) to beat Tottenham 2.02 Bet365 Tottenham look a touch flimsy to me in this fixture. They’re a skilful side but you don’t always get the chance to be skilful in the hostile arenas of Serbia and surrounding areas. Belgrade will be right up for this match and they don’t lack for strength and power like most sides from that part of the world. Given all that I think Tottenham are a little short for this one so I’ll take the home side with a fairly large start on the Asian cap. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/partizan-vs-tottenham-betting-spurs-look-a-little-short-in-serbia 4pts Red Bull Salzburg (-1.25AH) to beat Celtic 1.95 Bet365 I think this is a tough ask for a Celtic side who haven’t truly got going this season. We’ve already seen them well beaten twice in Europe this season and Salzburg have enough about them to make it a third time here. You don’t get the feeling that this Celtic structure have the ability that Neil Lennon had to make this side hard to beat away in Europe so I’ll take the home win here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/red-bull-salzburg-vs-celtic-betting-celtic-could-be-out-of-their-depth-in-austria 4pts Everton vs Wolfsburg - Over 2.5 goals 10/11 Skybet This is a big night for Everton who feel they belong in Europe. Wolfsburg are an excellent side to make their return against and while the Germans haven’t set the world alight so far this season they have the quality to get a result in this match. Everton certainly don’t lack for attacking quality even though they might be missing Ross Barkley a little bit so I see this being an entertaining game with a few goals regardless of the result. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Standard Liege in terrible form while Rijeka are having a very strong season. From uefa.com: http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2015/matches/round=2000587/match=2014443/prematch/background/ • Standard have not won in their last five European home games (D1 L4) and have yet to register at home in UEFA competition this season. They lost all three of their 2013/14 UEFA Europa League group stage home games. • Rijeka, by contrast, have won all three of their European away fixtures this season – scoring ten goals in the process – but they did not score in their three 2013/14 UEFA Europa League group stage fixtures on the road.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th I wouldn't back Partizan in anyway, Spurs probably will rotate but still its enough to beat Partizan. I cant remember the last time Partizan played a really good match in europe besides against some poor teams from Faroe's, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg etc.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Everton look a tad short to me. They haven't had a great start, and Wolfsburg are a decent team, Bendtner aside :lol Gave Bayern a decent game recently, I believe. Salzburg I'd be a bit unsure about too. Lost their last two league games since going of of the CL, appears to be badly affecting them. Not sure about Rijeka, either, though at that price you can't really go wrong. So a tough card, imo :lol Maybe need the group stage to warm up a bit before I get involved.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Good call for Croatian Rijeka, I'm going to back them too. But don't forget Dinamo Zagreb. They are on the top of the table now in Croatia. They play home against Romanian Astra. Ok, away team kicked-off French Olympic Lyonnais but I think that French guys just showed their attitude towards this competition. I believe that Dinamo will win the game. Top scorer Andrej Kramaric is on form now and he should make the game for the hosts.

Kramaric is a Rijeka striker, not Dinamo. ;) There is value on Rijeka, however they are still due to show the winning mentality in the group matches as last year they were also very good but played too careful and were content with just a couple of points. Coach says this year it's going to be different. Standard will see this match as their chance to get out of crisis, and while Rijeka has the quality to win this, we'll see if they can deliver in such a big away match as this one. Astra players apparently weren't payed on time and didn't want to train last week, played uninterested against Cluj and lost 4-1, and many people see Dinamo as a clear winner, odds have dropped a bit too. This is a tricky match, I haven't seen Astra so far but supposedly they are a team who is strong in defense and has some very fast players in the attack. That is exactly the type of team Dinamo can have problems with. Also, many people from abroad don't understand that there's some sort of weird pressure on Dinamo players when they play Europe games at home. They often underperform, especially in groups, and they haven't won a match in group stage at home since 2010 (they qualified each year). Would be careful with this one.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th YB Bern - Slovan Bratislava - YB Bern to win @1.83 Tempobet I don´t know much about the home side, but I don´t believe that current Slovak champion is able to take something from this game. They haven´t impressed me yet in this season and I can´t see reason why they should make a surprise tonight. Slovan is without striker Vittek, who is going to have a surgery in USA, creative playmaker Soumah is suspended, defender Jablonsky is out and midfielder Milinkovic is doubtful (imho quite important player in Slovan). I have to admit that they still have some good players in their squad, but this squad can scare only other Slovak clubs. They lost 3-0 at Zilina during the weekend, which must be a big blow to their confidence, getting beaten by so young Zilina players, even if they are actually on the top of table. I simply consider Slovan as a very poor traveller, so when I also count with the artificial ground in Bern, which Slovan is not used to, the home team is definitely my pick. good luck!:ok

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Fiorentina vs Guingamp – To Win To Nil – Fiorentina @ 2.15 Marathonbet Fiorentina is desperate tonight for two reasons. They want to win, but first of all, they are dying to score a goal! Viola did not found the back of the net on the first two games of Serie A against Roma (2-0) and Genoa (0-0), although they created a lot of chances. Criticism is already happening for big name Mario Gomez, who will want to score tonight against the most weak team of the group, Guingamp, and give some answers. Coach Montella backed the German striker and he is giving him tonight the players to support him on offence. Guingamp on the other side is a rookie to Europa League and they don’t have what it takes to challenge a really better team like Fiorentina. My pick is win to nil for Fiorentina.

I wouldn't back Partizan in anyway' date=' Spurs probably will rotate but still its enough to beat Partizan. I cant remember the last time Partizan played a really good match in europe besides against some poor teams from Faroe's, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg etc.[/quote'] Although it doesn't have to mean anything, historically Partizan always gave their best games against British clubs, just ask Newcastle fans ;). One of my friends always jokes that their downfall began when we kicked them out of Champions league and that they never got on their feet after that which is not far from true. Anyway, that was way back in the past. About today's Partizan: they got kicked out of Champions league from Ludogorets on away goals, in Belgrade they shot themselves in the foot. They came back from 0-2 to 2-2 but the defender got stupid red card and that was that, after that, pretty comfortable win over Neftchi. Important thing is that Partizan did what they were expected to do, get in the group stage and from now on they willl play without pressure. Spurs will pass this group no matter what happens tonight and it's certainly not a matter of life and death for them to win tonight. I somehow have the feeling that draw will suit for both teams. One more thing, pitch is in the pretty bad shape. When French team played friendly match 10 days ago, Schneiderlin and Benzema gave some comments that they never played on worse pitch and after this match the ground will be replaced. I think there is a lot more better choices for tonight. My money is also on Y boys. Slovan should have been out of Europe long time ago, Sherrif side dismantle them, but somehow lost. Swiss are far more stronger and experienced side and that will be proven tonight. Home win @1,75 is great choice, couple of units on all available handicaps also. Goodluck to all.

Didn't Guingamp win the French cup in incredible fashion? As far as I remember they had an amazing cup run, so I believe they could be a strong competitor in this competition, as league isn't their top priority. I do not know if they sold or bought any players during the summer transfer window though.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Partizan - Tottenham over 2.5 @1.80 local bookies Partizan - Tottenham btts @ 1.70 local bookies I think We could see few goals here,as Our head coach said We have nothing to lose in this match and We (Partizan fans) have a great hunger for some european football so stands will be packed up surely with Partizan fans creating fanatic atmosphere,so the players will be fired up for sure, and I think even without Skuletic (top goalscorer)(suspended) We can manage to score at least 1.On the other hand Our defense is weaker than ever IMO so I expect Tottenham to score too.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Panathinaikos vs Dinamo Moskva – Win for Dinamo @ 2.78 Marathonbet Difficult to say which team will left off the qualification to the next round on the group E of Europa League. PSV Eindoven, Panathinaikos and Dinamo Moskva will fight for two spots, while Estoril doesn’t look able to challenge any of them. Dinamo seems the most powerful side, capable to win every other team. They have big names on the squad like Mathieu Valbuena, Kevin Kuranyi, Yuri Zhirkov, Christian Noboa, Aleksandr Kokorin and other quality players. After 7 games on the Russian league, Dinamo stand third on the table, counting 5 wins and 2 defeats. They are coming from the away loss 3-2 to giants Zenit. Panathinaikos on the other side is at difficult position. After 3 games on Greek league, they won only once, draw once and last Sunday lost away 1-0 to Kalloni. The absence of super valuable striker Marcus Berg is clearly an unsolved problem, while Mladen Petric can’t fill his teammate’s shoes, at least for now. Dinamo travelled to Athens without key players Valbuena, Denisov and Vainqueur, but they have other quality players that can fill the gaps. I go with the Russians on this one.

This year will also fight to remain at first division, i believe that Europe will not by their first priority. The most important signing i think it was Sylvain Marveaux from Newcastle. He is not even considered to play from the start tonight.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th I'm finding it hard to see any value on teams tonight (maybe the first game - Karabakh might be a bit too long at 4.0 at home to St Etienne). In general, I think we might see a lot of games being 'unders' as it's the first group game and sides might be cautious. So possible value in unders or draws (which are more likely with fewer goals)?

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Europa League :Metalist Kharkiv -Trabzonspor This match is being played in Lviv, 1,000 km from Kharkiv, their home match in the playoff round was held in Kiev, which is about half that distance away and very few Metalist supporters made the journey and it is hard to see tonight's fixture offering them much by way of home advantage and as a team, they look weaker than in recent seasons. Traditionally the third best club side behind Shakhtar and Dynamo, they made the big breakthrough in 2012-13 to finish runner up, but last season again slipped back to third, with Dnipro edging them out. Dnipro look to have made the progress from that second place finish that Metalist were hoping for and are putting pressure on Donetsk and with Dynamo looking stronger, things look tough for tonight's host. Their confidence will not have been helped by losing 5-2 at home to Dnipro on Saturday and the mood amongst the players will surely not have been good on the long road trip to Lviv. Trabzonspor have made a good start to life under new coach Vahid Halilhodzic (pictured), who proved his tactical worth with Algeria at the World Cup and his usual approach of keeping things tight and then counter attacking with speed and tactical nous, is ideally suited to playing on the road, especially in Europe. His team has yet to concede a goal and they will be very tough to breakdown this evening. I watched their 0-0 draw at Rostov in the playoff round and Halilhodzic has done an incredible job very quickly, they only allowed the hosts a couple of long range efforts on goal and three times got 3 v 1 on the break and were only denied by some fine saves and poor finishing, overall a very impressive performance and this is a team we have to give close attention to in the coming months. 1.25 units Trabzonspor level ball 2.11 asian line/Sportmarket.

I see as strong favourites teams who do not convince me to back them for a straight win, never mind on Handicaps! Salzburg might as well produce another goal fiesta, but I watched them in both games against Malmoe, I saw their last two domestic games as I was doing some in-play - they are not good at the back, not yet! Any team can take advantage from this, Celtic being in Europe very long - for sure! Fiore, Besiktas, Napoli, Lille and PSV are facing teams who are clearly going out for a point, defending with all they've got, but just because we all know little about these teams doesn't mean that they should be rated so low - after all they all got here, one way or another, with certain footballing culture and values. A point here means a lot for the smaller teams, but by no means the end of the world to the ''Big Boys'' - first, there are plenty of games coming in the groups, second - bigger teams often rotate or/and underestimate this Cup and/or the ''unknown'' opposition. Apollon IMO are also underrated, some bigger scalps than the Swiss were taken in Cyprus in the recent years by all the local teams. I only see PAOK and Sevilla as clear favourites, but I rather go in-play. Cards in many games are also interesting (including these last two)... Save your money for better days... Good luck all

It may be worth waiting for the Tottenham team news as I don't know how serious they are taking the competition.

Odds are finally dropping today, but 1,70 line is quite pretty too. I think that Slovan will send everything young and fast to starting 11 and main damage will be Halenar - experienced but old attacker. Another one forward Fort isnt in good shape, he has overweight 5-8 kg. I fancy Slovak teams but as you said on syntetic grass that can be one sided game. I like odds on HT draw, it would be pretty tight start for both teams. Maybe YBB will destroy Slovan on second half but I have feeling for careful tactics. And yes I like HW too. My pick: Half Time Draw @2,3 at bet365

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th I am leaning towards Over in Tott/Partizian match. Tottenham have WBA coming to them in EPL this weekend and should not be too concerned about that game. I hope they field a decent squad today. If they do, I think they score 2 goals. Not too familiar with Partizian's dfense but someone here stated it is not as strong as it has been on the past? They play very well at home and I think they can find the back of the net. I see a 2-1 or 2-2 game but would like to hear other's input. As for Celtic/RBS game, I think Celtic cover +1.5. Thoughts on this match?

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th We conceded 2 goals at home in three matches this season (against Ludogorets,Neftci and Cukaricki) and no way You can compare those teams with Tottenham even if they play with B squad here I expect them to score at least 1

Tottenham Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 1.9 Marathonbet I can't say I know too much about Partizan but Tottenham have scored 2 or more goals in 14 of the last 16 Europa League matches. It may be worth waiting for the Tottenham team news as I don't know how serious they are taking the competition.

Not that I am saying that Spurs won't be able to put a couple past Partizan but Adebayor & Chadli who together have scored 4 out of Tottenham's 7 league goals this term have both been rested for this game.

Yeah hence the reason I said to wait for lineups.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday September 18th Dynamo Zagreb vs Astra Giurgiu Dynamo to win 10/11 paddy power Their opponents had a lucky win against Lyon in the previous round but i think they are going up against a team who are in form Panathinaikos vs Dynamo Moscow Panathinaikos to win 15/8 paddy power I think their opponents are not the best team you can face and do have to travel to greece and its always a tough game and at these odds it is worth a bet Beskitas FC Copenhagen PSV Eindhoven- treble 5/2 paddy power I think these three have got a great chance winning as they were unlucky not to qualify for the champions league group stages so they are good teams who should qualify from their groups and maybe go further
