Re: Vanarama Conference North/South August 9th AFC Fylde v Brackley Town Into the Vanarama Conference North now andI think the home side can win their first ever game at this level. As one of myante-post picks I am obviously expecting them to have a decent season and theycan beat Brackley. The away side fell away from the play-off picture in the 2^ndhalf of last season and despite a good FA Cup run they have actually had apretty big budget cut and it is hard to see them finishing any higher thanmid-table this time around. It looks a good opportunity for the home side tohit the ground running and are 11/8 with BetVictor. Hyde v Oxford City Hyde were the one team I wanted to take onthis weekend. Having only won one game last season there has naturally beenquite a change in the squad. The problem is though the club seems stuck in alosing mentality at the moment as they only one of their nine pre-season games.It was the first game they won as well and that was a month ago! They have beenusing plenty of players on trial during the summer and I struggle to see howthey could possible be ready to gel for the first game of the season and ofcourse there is that losing mentality at the club. The problem is though theyface an Oxford City side who haven’t exactly looked anything special inpre-season either and it should be remembered that they finished in therelegation zone last season. If Hyde had been playing a better team I wouldhave had a pretty decent bet on them, as it is I still think Oxford are worthbacking as at least they have a bit more stability about them. BetVictor arebiggest at 23/10 and that is certainly value in my eyes.

Re: Vanarama Conference North/South August 9th I was looking at fylde as well addpea so you backing them has made my mind up I am also on hemel Hempstead, newly promoted but tore up the southern prem last season and I fancy them to have a decent season again, 7-4 at Basingstoke is better than I expected

Yee Hednesford are one of the more ambitious sides at this level. They snapped up Diggin and Glenn Walker who were Brackley's two best players for last couple years

Re: Vanarama Conference North/South August 9th 2 out of 2 for me with Fylde winning very easily and Hyde proving they still can't win a game of football even when the opposition only have 10 players for most of the game. BG also got 2 out of 2 with Hemel beating Basingstoke.
