USA have won 4 out of the 6 meetings at this level. I think both sides will be quietly confident of doing well against the other sides in this group - China and Brazil - and prioritize not losing here. Re: Fifa U-20 Womens World Cup Canada 2014 (August 5th - 24th) I was very impressed with North Korea against Ghana yesterday. I had thought Ghana might be some value and nearly tipped them, but North Korea ran the show despite being smaller than the Ghanaians. On this evidence they have a chance of winning the tournament. Of the other sides I've seen, France and Germany were also impressive. But I haven't been able to see many games. China managed to draw 5-5 (:loon) with Germany - that suggests China could even be outsiders. Both North Korea and China have been forces in Womens football, and they both finished ahead of Japan in the Asian U19 championships (Japan won the senior Womens World Cup 2011 in Germany and are ranked no. 3 in the world after USA and Germany at senior level). France could be good value, and their shots on target stats are much better than Germany's, but Germany had a much harder group and have looked pretty impressive.

It sounds as though they were a bit unlucky to go out against Germany. I am tempted to back Nigeria in the final against Germany - they were brilliant against North Korea. The best France have done is finish 4th in 2008. At under 17 level though, France have excelled recently. Overall I think France have looked the better side of these two in this tournament. The quarter final games are of some relevance to this game. North Korea drew 1-1 with a strong USA side, and France drew 0-0 with South Korea. On the basis of those two results, North Korea could be some value here at odds of 3.6. After seeing how North Korea just couldn't cope with Nigeria's attack in the semi final, I was tempted to back overs, but in the Quarter Finals both sides were 'unders' - NK drawing 1-1 with USA and France drawing 0-0 with South Korea. Those stats lead me more towards unders - Under 2.5 is 2.63 with Marathon. Who will be more motivated for this third place match? France looked devastated after losing to Germany after probably deserving to win - and North Korea were blown away by Nigeria. North Korea drew 1-1 with France in the final of Womens U17 World Cup in Azerbaijan in 2012. That North Korea side were coached by Hwang Yong Bong - who coaches today's Under 20 side. Some of the players in today's game will be the same as at that final. This has almost persuaded me to back North Korea here at long odds - but I think France are almost certainly a stronger team. A similar scoreline - 2-0 or 2-1 to Germany - sounds about right. Germany have had a much tougher route to the final than Nigeria I think. Nigeria do have a lot of talent in their forward line, and despite Germany's pedigree, I wouldn't rule out a Nigeria win. Overall I'm really not sure about this, so it's another ... No bet
