Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd Northampton - Bristol Rovers League 2 England Saturday 1/3 16:00 Prediction: Northampton Odds: 2,50 Stake: 4/10 Bookmaker: Coral Great job by ex Oxford coach Wilder on Northampton so far. Northampton look's at the moment as the most hard working team in the league. They have also added some quality upfront lately which has payed off. Two straight wins now, against tough teams. Bristol Rovers are a decent team. Played well away to Scunthorpe, but was lucky to get a 1-1 equalizer in the last minute on Tuesday. Unfortunately for Bristol Rovers they lost a key player to injury against Scunthorpe, A.Gow. A blow for Bristol Rovers. Northampton are impressive at the moment. They work so hard and even though Bristol Rovers are a tough nut to crack we predict Northampton to take yet another win at home!

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd Rochdale - Oxford League 2 England Saturday 1/3 16:00 Prediction: Rochdale Odds: 2,20 Stake: 6/10 Bookmaker: NordicBet Rochdale is one of the best teams in the division at the moment. They are the best home side in the division winning 11/17 here. Oxford is placed 4th, just behind Rochdale in automatic promotion. 2 points separates the teams, even though Rochdale has one match in hand. We are not very impressed by Oxford lately, even though they are the best away side in the division they haven't impressed us lately despite only losing 1 out of the last 10. In our eyes there are no doubt which team is the best at the moment. We back Rochdale here. In our eyes Rochdale should be closer to 1,90 here.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd Burton - Accrington League 2 England Saturday 1/3 16:00 Prediction: Burton Odds: 1,83 Stake: 5/10 Bookmaker: WilliamHill Burton placed 5th against Accrington placed 22nd. Even though Burton have a difficult period behind them, only winning 2 out of the last 10 we have no problem backing them here against a Accrington. Burton won the away game 1-0, and we think Accrington will have some problems here, especially with one player in Burton. Zeli Ismail. Like we mentioned before, Accrington is nothing special, easy errors. Burton is a good team, and they will challenge for promotion. We think Accrington could be relegated. Good chance here for Burton! 1,83 is decent, should be closer 1,65.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd Plymouth - Morecambe League 2 England Saturday 1/3 16:00 Prediction: Plymouth Odds: 2,10 Stake: 5/10 units Bookmaker: Bet365 Plymouth placed 8th and just behind the play-off spot. Coming from a couple of great wins, especially their performance away to a tough Fleetwood (4-0) was very good. Before that another great performance away to Degenham (2-1) Plymouth look´s to be on fire at the moment. Hard working, good team spirit and offensively in great form! Morecambe has weak for, not won in the last 9. Even though they done quite well this season we expect them to come up short here against a Plymouth who look´s good at the moment. 2,10 is decent. 1,85 in our eyes.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd Cheltenham-Bury AH+0 @2,02 4/10 Pinnacle Cheltenham are on their way down the table while Bury climb up the table with their new coach and their big acquisition tour in January. Definitely value on Bury who have by far the better squad. Cheltenham are poor. Draw cover here. GL

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd 4pts Chesterfield (-1) to beat Portsmouth 9/5 Stan James Portsmouth have just one win in their last 11 on the road and they go to a side who can be devastating at home when they get going. Chesterfield restored their confidence last week with a big win at Cheltenham and now they can continue to warm up for their trip to Wembley at the end of the month with another win here and a win by a fair margin. Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd England / League 2 / Chesterfield vs Portsmouth / Total Goals - Over 2.5 @ 2.06 Bookie: Marathonbet Chesterfield has a very good GD, while Portsmouth conceded 47 goals. Recently Portsmouth participated in games without goals. I expect more than 2 goals in this game.

I kind of agree with this and both to score @ 2.20 appeals also. The market is kind of expecting a comfortable 2-0 win but I'm not too sure because 1. It's a rainy Monday night. 2. Its on TV 3. We probably on our day have a very potent attack that our league positioning does no justice towards. Lastly Chesterfield haven't been the tightest of sides as the season has worn on... They were tough in that department earlier in the season. Also Chesterfield are obviously a huge public favourite and they are odds on in League Two currently - something which is often the kiss of death.

I'm not going to go big on this (perhaps follow in-play) but at a quick glance, odds of 7.5 on Pompey look too long. Their shots on target stats for recent games aren't far below Chesterfield's, and they seem to be in reasonable form too. I remember thinking the same when Portsmouth were away to Scunthorpe recently though, and they crashed to a 5-1 defeat.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd I wouldn't risk overs, actually. This season, league-wide, these big-favorite games have been going under more often than over...then there's the soggy pitch. Then there's the fact that Portsmouth's defense isn't bad at all...3-11 O/U since mid-December. This isn't necessarily one of those runs that has to come to an end, either. They did get hammered at Scunthorpe, but prior to that played out a 0-0 at Oxford. I pity Portsmouth, actually...they play the top four attacks in their next four away matches. But most of their matches against these high-scoring sides at home have finished under. Make this one 1-0, 1-1, 2-0 or 2-1...I wouldn't be confident of overs coming in at all.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd Just went back and did some counting. Chesterfield are 9-6-2 this season as a favorite of under 2.0 at home. The closest we have to this match in terms of odds and expectations was Northampton, which finished 0-0. In those 17 matches, 6 overs and 11 unders. Portsmouth have only been a dog away in this situation three times (0-1-2, 2 overs, the match at Oxford being the exception). One other thing: I started keeping track of odds movement, though I haven't really put anything into practice yet. But you know what? Underdogs of better than 5.0 (Portsmouth's currently 7.28 at my book) where the odds rose before the match are 4-4-3 in League Two this season. Nearly all of those saw odds of closer to 5.0 than 7.0, however. Portsmouth has the third-highest odds of any underdog in the league this season. The others: Chesterfield 1-0 Accrington 10.48 Chesterfield 3-1 Torquay 7.94 Chesterfield Portsmouth 7.28 Chesterfield 0-0 Northampton 6.23 Chesterfield 2-0 Wycombe 5.8 Lol...in the time it took my to type this, the odds on Portsmouth fell from 7.28 to 6.36. I was going to say that Portsmouth were undervalued.

Re: Sky Bet League 2 > March 1st & 3rd

I am mad at myself...was about to take the draw @ 4.35' date=' but then the money flowing in on Pompey made me swerve. As it turned out, really late money flowed in on Chesterfield...the swing was 7.28 to 6.36 to 6.8.[/quote'] Credit mate :clap I always like your posts and for me it was a toss up between both to score and Pompey on a positive handicap.... Chose poorly this time :(

Great analysis. Wish I would have read this before lumping on the overs
