Warbirds
Re: W.S.O.P. Sat. Thread 2014 Hey guys What the hell is going on with the Microgaming WSOP sats? Very few games, (most get canceled due to lack of players I see), no guarantee so because of few players no tickets to upper levels whenever anything starts, terrible times... I don't get it, thy used to be one of the best venues to qualify?? Fred
slapdash
Re: W.S.O.P. Sat. Thread 2014 I like the way 888 are running their satellites this year. There are $1050 qualifiers every Sunday. There's a six-step scheme of satellites daily (more times daily at the lower levels, but I don't know the precise schedule). 1) $0.01 rebuy 2) $0.10 rebuy/addon 3) $1 freezeout 4) $5 freezeout 5) $30 freezeout 6) $160 freezeout At each level you're playing for a ticket to the next level, and the tickets last 14 days (last year you were playing for a seat in a particular tournament, which made planning a nightmare: before you registered for a satellite you had to check you could play the whole sequence of tournaments it might lead to). Tickets to the main qualifiers last a month. The structure is reasonably slow, even at lower levels, and they seem to be getting a good number of players, so that there are 10-20 qualifiers from each tournament at the lower levels, and at the lower levels there are heaps of players who don't understand satellite strategy (I was short stack on the bubble with about 15 to qualify. Not a problem when ~9th placed player went all in and ~12th placed player called with AJ and busted!) I've experimented over the last few days buying in at levels ranging from (2)-(4). I've done pretty well so far, and from about a $16 outlay I currently have a $160 ticket plus a $1 and $5 ticket.

Warbirds
Re: W.S.O.P. Sat. Thread 2014 Good news, 888 now has also a WSOP side event package on offer, for event 60. I believe the package value was USD 4500 or so, the route to qualify is the same as for the main event: 6 levels up to a USD 1050 final, where the chances to get a package are great. Of course, you need to reach the 1050 level first, from the previous level of USD 160 and that might not be so simple :) GL everyone trying for it, I'll most probably give it a go too Fred

Warbirds
Re: W.S.O.P. Sat. Thread 2014 will probably have a go at these Officially decided I'm giving up on these freerolls. Won't be able to make the 1000 raked hands; Barely managed to reach 230 of those playing Blaze (and actually making a relatively good profit in the process) but this is so BOOOORING Cash games are not for me :) Good luck to all raking in the hands for the freerolls
