Port Vale won the reverse fixture earlier this season 3-1, courtesy of goals from Chris Robertson, Jennison Myrie-Williams and Jordan Hugill. Shrewsbury are without a win in seven league games at the Greenhous Meadow, losing six and drawing the other. They've failed to score in five of those seven games. Doug Loft has scored three goals in his last two appearances for Vale. Only Stevenage (10) and Sheffield (13) have scored fewer second-half goals this campaign than the Shrews (14). Port Vale have lost their last four away league games, conceding 11 times in the process. Coventry v Bradford Coventry are without a league win against Bradford in five attempts drawing three (L2). Bradford have kept three clean sheets in their last four league games against Coventry. The Sky Blues have shipped a goal in each of their last 14 league games, the longest run by any League One side this season. The Bantams are without a league win 13 attempts, their worst run since November 2000 in the Premier League. They actually ended that run with a 2-1 win over Coventry City. The last time Bradford went 14 league matches without a victory was in November 1948 (a run of 16 games). Coventry have scored 12 times in the 15 minutes leading up to half-time this season, more than any other side. Bradford have conceded just 12 goals in the second half of games this campaign, a league low. Bristol City v Tranmere Bristol City have won their last six league encounters with Tranmere at Ashton Gate, scoring 14 in the process. Tranmere have failed to score in five of their last six league trips to Bristol City. The Robins have scored in each of their last 12 league games, a run only bettered by Leyton Orient (14) in the division. Rovers have dropped just six points in League One this season when leading (W8 D3), though they've been ahead in the joint-fewest amount of games (11 with Crawley Town). Jay Emmanuel Thomas has been involved in 21 goals this season (12 goals, 9 assists), more than any other League One player. Tranmere have had the fewest number of attempts on goal in League One (217; excl. blocked). Crawley v Carlisle Crawley are yet to lose against Carlisle in the Football League, winning once (D2). Carlisle are without an away league win in seven games, losing six (D1). Three of the four goals scored by Crawley so far in 2014 in League One have been either scored or assisted by Andy Drury (one goal, two assists). Carlisle have lost each of their last five away fixtures in League One, conceding 13 times in the process. Crawley are one of two League One sides yet to pick up a point at home when losing this season (Wolves are the other). The Cumbrians have let in 13 goals from outside the area this season, more than any other League One team. MK Dons v Oldham MK Dons have gone five matches unbeaten at home to Oldham in league competition, winning three (D2). Oldham have failed to score in each of their last four league trips to Milton Keynes. The Dons' win over Walsall last weekend was their first in five league fixtures (D1 L3). The Latics have won just one of their last six away games in League One, though this did come in the last fixture on the road vs Swindon (D2 L3). Only Wolves (190) have registered more shots off target in League One than Mk Dons (185). Oldham have scored just once in their last four away games (in all competitions). Peterborough v Walsall Posh have won four of the last five league encounters with the Saddlers, scoring two or more goals on three occasions. Only MK Dons (13) have scored more. Walsall have conceded just once in the opening 15 minutes this season, a league low. Preston v Leyton Orient Preston have failed to score in three of their last four league clashes with Leyton Orient, though they did register in the reverse fixture this season (1-0). The O's have lost just one of their last nine away league fixtures, winning five and drawing three. Joe Garner has found the net six times in his last five games at Deepdale (all competitions). Leyton Orient have lost three league games consecutively for the first time since November 2012 (a run of four in total). Preston have recorded 13 clean sheets this campaign, second only to Wolves' 14, yet only four have come at home. The O's have failed to score in just one of their 30 league games this season; in the reverse fixture against PNE. Rotherham v Stevenage Rotherham have scored exactly three goals in each of their last two competitive matches against Stevenage (all comps). Stevenage have netted in each of their previous two visits to Rotherham in all competitions, though they have never won (D1 L1). Wolves v Notts County Wolves are unbeaten in seven against Notts County in league competition, winning five (D2). The Magpies have failed to score in five of the last six league meetings between the two sides. Wolves have won each of their last four league games, scoring ten and conceding once in that run. Only Sheffield United (6) have picked up fewer away points than the Magpies this season (8). Notts County have lost four of their last five away games in League One (W1).

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th I think Peterborough at 5/4 to beat Walsall is good value. Walsall were very poor against the Dons , even before Andy Butler was sent off. He is an important defender for them and misses tonights game. Peterborough deserved to beat Leyton Orient even if they did score two late goals. They had double the amount of attempts at goal. I believe that Peterborough are now coming back into form , and Walsall are actually going the other way. The only factors that stop me thinking this is a great bet is 1) The weather - I don't know how the pitch is going to be , 2) Peterborough have a very important game on Monday (This game was brought forward from tomorrow) the second leg of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern area final. I think Peterborough could get off to a flyer even though Walsall have conceded just once in the opening 15 minutes this season, a league low.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th yes Butler is very important for Wallsall, whenever he hasnt played they have failed to win since 2012! Missed 6 games this season I believe and they failed to win any of those 6, similar figure last season. Weather is the big issue though, Darren Ferguson said the pitch is in terrible condition

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th I personally would keep your powder dry for tonight. Weather's as worse as it's going to get and is likely to stay this way until Sunday. The pitch at Peterborough is probably fcuked as it was a week ago. Wouldn't surprise me if half the games are called off over the weekend either.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th Preston - Leyton Orient League 1 England Saturday 15/2 16:00 Prediction: Leyton Orient Odds: 3,75 Stake: 4/10 Bookmaker: Coral Very important game between two teams who's form look's slightly different. Preston have won 2 in a row now, and are currenty placed 4th in the table. 5 points behind Leyton Orient who's placed 3rd and have lost 3 in a row. Preston is a decent side which we have backed at several occassions this season. However, they tend to be a bit static in their way of playing. No suprises, quite predictable team in our eyes. Their form should not be overestimated since they played rather weak teams the last couple of weeks, most of them placed in the bottom of the table. Leyton Orient is a team we rate highly, despite losing 3 in a row we expect to see a reaction from R.Slade's men here. Leyton Orient best away side in the division winning 10 out of 16 matches. They have scored totaly 61 goals so far this season in the league, Over 50% more then Preston's total of 40 goals. They have had some problems in the goalkeeping position but are now boosted by the return of Jakupovic from Hull which is a clear + for Leyton Orient.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th I think today's sad passing of Sir Tom Finney makes the Preston v Orient game a definite no bet game. The atmosphere is going to be incredible and completely alters everything IMO. It's just impossible to know how the home side will respond - be fired up and take the visitors apart, or be overawed by the occasion and flop! Sent from my Hudl HT7S3 using PL Forum

RIP great gentleman! Agree with you Samba, I saw this news actually after writing the prediction. Obviously it's difficult to predict how this will affect the Preston team, Sports psychology is a interesting subject. Still think Leyton will edge this game. 3,75 represents value.

I think the fans will be a little bit sad, they'll be a minutes silence and then things will resume tbh. Can't see how a group of footballers will empathise with a footballer that retired over 50 years ago. Sad news though. RIP.

This finished 0-0 , Peterborough didn't deserve any more than that. The only other game that evening (last night friday) was Swindon v Colchester , where Swindon were odds on to win that game. It also finished 0-0. I'm thinking that conditions of pitches and high winds (still forecasted today) will keep a bias towards

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th Crewe - Brentford League 1 England Saturday 15/2 16:00 Prediction: Crewe Odds: 4,60 Stake: 2/10 units Bookmaker: Bet365 By first glance this looks like a clear away win .. We think it might be a screamer, a potential bananaskin for Brentford. Crewe has played decent lately while Brentford get closer and closer to their first loss since mid October. Brentford division leaders, won 19 out of 29 matches. Won 50% of their away matches (7/14) Crewe is pretty decent at home. We think Brentford might underestimate Crewe here and could be up for a tougher afternoon then they think.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th Agree with Crewe at the prices, Brentford are to short away in bad conditions. I was at the Swindon game last night and from the first minute I could tell that there were going to be very few goals. Wind is the worst condition by miles for goals and it was no surprise to see Peterboro also finish 0-0. That said, there were five goals between Accrington and Scunthorpe in league two. It seems like the South is a lot worse than the North weather wise but probably worth checking regional weather forecasts. Not a day to be backing goals in general I'd say and you'd probably want to be with the outsiders rather than lumping on favs too, Good luck.

Re: Sky Bet League 1 > February 14th & 15th Chesterfield - Torquay / Wolves - Notts County League 2 / League 1 England Saturday 15/2 16:00 Prediction: 1 / 1 Odds: 2,26 Stake: 4/10 Bookmaker: PinnacleSports Not very often we will back doubles, but here is a good chance with two home winners who should win. Chesterfield a really good side that we have backed many times this season with good results, Torquay improved slightly even though the loss in their last game at home to Northampton was a big kick in the teeth. Chesterfield clear favourites here. Wolves looking good, a few new players who has improved the squad and offensively they look dangerous atm. Good form winning the last 4, good at home winning 11 out of 16. Notts County lost 3 out of the last 4 and has only win 2 out of 16 on the road. Decent favourite double!

It was just pure luck that the conversion rate was so high.
