kevshat
After the shambles of an Ashes series England now have to endure 5 ODIs and 3 T20s before they can come home. The series begins on Sunday and all eight matches are live on Sky. The 3 T20s will be particularly competitive with the World T20 only a couple of months away. In fact if Australia get on a roll early they will be eyeing up another 5-0 win which looks a touch overpriced at 6/1. He has been bowling fantastically in the Big Bash recently and in India we saw all his batting talents too so I think his performance line could be a touch low on his home ground. He bowls at the death where cheap wickets come along and he’s likely to bat at seven or eight where he can pin his ears back and let fly. Other genuine all rounders often have targets around 50 so the 40 for Faulkner is worth taking. In seven of his last ten innings in tests and ODIs he has failed to make double figures and he too looks like a man who has his head in a jam jar. Johnson terrorised him in the Ashes series and he’s back for more here so we could see yet another failure from the England captain even though he has good memories on this ground. Jordan should've had 3 wickets and could easily have had 5 while Warner was out to Stokes there's absolutely no doubt about that. As a collective group that attack is inexperienced but it could've been a lot different in the first game.

You know i dont like taking short prices, let alone as short as 1.34 but johnson is back and really can one see any other result than the aussie win. given how the tour has played out, even the 1.34 is looking value. I am thinking about betting on it. was the first odi close and were stats misleading?

He is a gun fielder too so he’ll be in all the likely catching positions so put the three together and we should see more than 35pts from him again after his 114pt haul last time out. This is a very light AUssie batting line-up AMAZED no-on is jumping on England to defend this score I'm getting 1.62 and I can't resist it for 4 units here How did you work these things out? England wouldn't have defended 350 in the last game let alone 316 in a day game. As it turns out it looks like it will need some Maxwell/Faulkner magic but I never saw anything in the first three games to suggest this would be defended. Not sure what Australia's fielding has to do with them chasing down a score :unsure. You could argue with some justification that this is Australia's longest batting line up of the series. Literally everyone in their line up can bat. Just because it is missing Clarke doesn't make it a 'light batting line up'. It didn't exactly miss Clarke in India :ok

England haven’t always been fantastic in this format of the game but when they’ve taken it seriously they have often got results and I think they are good value to get a result in this series too. England will be serious about the series with the World T20 just over a month away while Australia’s immediate priority is their tour of South Africa so at 13/8 I’ll take England here. Maxwell can hit a cricket ball a long way and he’ll have faced plenty of this attack in his two county stints. As the main spinner in the squad we know he’ll be heavily involved and there’s every chance he could bat at number three in this series. If that is the case he’s no 15/2 shot at the rate he scores his runs. The Durham man has just finished as the top wicket taker in the recent ODI series for England and given that he is likely to be bowling at the death in this series I think he is good value at 5/1. He has pace and gets bounce but has a change of pace too so 5/1 looks more than fair. This might be an Australia side missing a few top names but the ones coming in can all smoke a long ball while England have big hitters most of the way down their order. aussie_fan_number1
Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series Excellent work Kev.
