They have been playing a lot of football, and cancelled training this Tuesday to allow some key men to get over niggles, and they have at least found the right blend from the squad. Tonbridge have been competing well but they have been found wanting in a number of areas, especially in defence where they are often done for pace. They've no clean sheets this season. Guiseley away at Leamington (7/5 Marathon) A bit of a risk as Guiseley have plenty of mileage to make up this season, but as I pointed out on here a couple of weeks back Guiseley had added well to the squad under Mark Bowyer and that results weren't far away - indeed, they pulled out a win a cup-distracted Ferriby. It was a scratchier performance against Barrow last week, though they had to come from a goal down to win. Leamington are playing well in flashes and have a good squad but Paul Holleran is not getting the best out of them - successive away defeats at Staly and Vauxhall Motors won't help their confidence and their only home goal in five games was Craig Owens' last minute winner at home to Staly. Basingstoke Town away at Maidenhead United (21/20 BetVics) After some indifferent performances, Basingstoke are playing well. They're a hard-working outfit with a solid spine and do the simple things well. That might be all that's needed against a Maidenhead who have only won once at home this season. They were pretty poor against Farnborough in the second half on Tuesday and even with the gift of an undeserved 2-0 lead they contrived to draw 2-2. And we've just signed Liam Dickinson who is easily a football league player, it's just a matter of fitness. An extra tip, at coral County to win and BTTS is 16/5 which is brilliant, we've got a lot of goals in our side but our defence isn't great. He lives locally so was working with our physio to get fit and has been training with all season. Oldham have been looking at him and apparently the deal is for him to prove his fitness for a month. It's a good shout, Sam - there will be plenty of goals as both defences have deficiencies but Stockport have much the livelier attack. Generally, I don't think Oxford C are the worst side in the section, although it's very tight at the bottom: naming a bottom three at this stage is really tough.
