Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Rd Qualifiers Oct 26-27 I was looking at backing welling ht/ft and minus 1 on the handicap both at odds against, they play away at step 5 bristol side brislington, brislington have done brilliantly to get this far beating truro and Weston along the way but this game against skrill prem welling should be a game too far. 11-10 ht/ft and 23-20 minus 1 are the best prices I have found so far but I am holding fire until I get further team news as welling have a glut of injuries and a lack of strikers from what I can gather, be interested to hear ships and addpeas thoughts as welling aren't really that well known to me but it looks a very decent bet on paper

I've been following Brislington quite closely since the Truro game and though they are a capable side with promotion aspirations, they just don't do clean sheets. They really got the rub of the green at Weston too, where they were 9/1 to win. As you say Welling have been down to the bare bones - only four on the bench at Halifax. But they are taking this one very seriously and they'll be a bit stronger tomorrow with at least their normal defensive unit in place, although there is a question mark about the strike force. Even so, they look much stronger than the home side and I expect them to show it.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Rd Qualifiers Oct 26-27 The Cup spreads are coming out at Sporting Index. For all the reasons posted above, there is much mileage in Welling's supremacy at 1.4 to buy - a bit too generous in the circumstances, I feel, and I'm a buyer. I've also bought total goals in Colwyn Bay/Corby Town at 3. Both are score-and-concede outfits and it's quite hard to see either side settling for - or being capable of settling for - a 0-0 or a 1-0. Corby can score in this, with their revitalised attack putting in some decent shifts of late. They've only had one clean sheet all season in the league, and Colwyn Bay have only had two.

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Rd Qualifiers Oct 26-27 You must be putting big money down on the spreads. I tried getting on total goals at 3.1 and they did the old sneaky review of the prices and upped it to 3.2! Thanks for the above info. Always fascinating to read especially re the spreads. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than taking money off Unsporting. Hope your predictions are up to their usual high standard. I note the supremacy in the other game is now 1.55

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Rd Qualifiers Oct 26-27 St Albans at 5/6 with BetVictor to win at Chatham. Any of you guys any thoughts on this one? St Albans beat a better team in Witham, away from home too, 3-0 recently, so they're looking good to me. My knowledge of the tie is based purely on form, so if there's any injury/suspension/miscellaneous news that could change things then shout up :) thanks

St Albans at 5/6 with BetVictor to win at Chatham. Any of you guys any thoughts on this one? St Albans beat a better team in Witham' date=' away from home too, 3-0 recently, so they're looking good to me. My knowledge of the tie is based purely on form, so if there's any injury/suspension/miscellaneous news that could change things then shout up :) thanks[/quote'] It's hard to make an argument against St Albans winning, Samba. They are firing after an indifferent start and they took leaders Hemel to wire this week. They are okay if not brilliant defensively but they have a very potent attack and even the prolific John Frendo has thrown off his early season rustiness and started to score. Chatham's whole season has been dominated by the implications of being in the Ryman North rather than South, but they have a generally settled squad with player manager Kevin Watson hardly needing to get on the pitch, and are hooking up some decent results with Alfie May the danger man but they can't call on the experience of the visitors. So, St Albans should win and there is nothing too bothersome in the build-up for either side, but the question is whether there is value in the 5/6. I have to confess I can't find enough of an edge in the price, although there is a reasonable chance of a comfortable win.

Normal staking levels for me this week, so I guess the traders are reacting to any sniff of interest whatsoever - this is our natural habitat, not theirs!

Re: England > Weekend > FA Cup 4th Rd Qualifiers Oct 26-27 Small profit on the day for me - the Welling trade lost 0.4 of a point and the Colwyn Bay/Corby goals trade made up with a 1 point profit. Good call by SambaSamba on St Albans, and superb work by addpea to land Halifax and a treble at excellent prices.
