Re: Aidy's Market Movers

It would be interesting to see the betfair place totals at 11am rather than at the off as most shorten.
I figured my spreadsheet wasn't quite big enough and added a column to give you a round about answer. Going by Betfair Morning Price without deducting for withdrawals the total comes to +50.23 for the selections to the end of yesterday. This compares to the same total at BSP of +33.47. As there have been 152 placings to date I would say that the deductions would probably outway that difference of 16.76 points. Standings up to 18/11/2013 Betfair SP for Win: +17.74 Betfair SP for Place: +33.47

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Nice work Karijini - after re-reading your post what you're saying is, it's better to back the selections at the time of race rather than the morning place price? Doesn't quite make sense, but you have the numbers!! Fancy adding a betfair morning price WIN column too? DC

Re: Aidy's Market Movers

Southwell 12:40 - Peter's Friend @ 7/2 Coral Hard to knock his consistency since switched to the Flat, and finally gained reward when landing a C&D handicap last month from Chrissycross. Needs more to confirm placings with that rival now. Southwell 2:40 - Kopenhagen @ 9/2 Sky Bet Signs of only a little ability in maidens, but wouldn't be a big shock if he improved now switching his attentions to handicaps after a short break. Market should guide. Wexford 2:15 - Clara Bel La @ 5/1 Boylesports Fairly useful in bumpers/on the Flat, posting easily her best effort over hurdles when fourth of 22 to Champagne Fever in a 2m maiden at Cork 12 months ago. Not disgraced on her recent Naas return. Wexford 3:15 - Sherika @ 8/1 Bet365 Successful twice over hurdles last winter, but not quite so good over fences so far, making mistakes and always behind at Clonmel last month. Fakenham 2:00 - Rule Of Thumb @ 9/2 Sky Bet Bumper winner who has yet to trouble the judge over hurdles but no surprise if he makes more of an impact now switching his attentions to handicaps for the first time. Wolverhampton 4:00 - Fat Gary @ 9/4 Sky Bet Has reacted well to the fitting of cheekpieces recently, just shading a tight finish over C&D last month and following up at Catterick 3 weeks ago. Seems sure to go well again. Wolverhampton 5:00 - Fresa @ 6/4 Bet365 Lightly-raced daughter of Selkirk who landed an Epsom handicap last July and resumed her progress to take a recent C&D event. Remains unexposed and has more potential than most at this level. Wolverhampton 5:30 - Shirazz @ 6/1 Sky Bet Has shown little and opposable starting out for third different trainer on just sixth start. Wolverhampton 6:30 - Fantasy Gladiator @ 7/2 Sky Bet Been shaping up well and though he might not be straightforward, promises to cash in on a handy mark the day things go his way. Wolverhampton 7:00 - Relight My Fire @ 4/1 Bet365 Rattled off a hat-trick in July and back to form when second over C&D in first-time eyeshields last month. Can get involved again if the headgear has the desired effect second time around.
3 winners today at 7/1, 9/2 and 9/4.. The Betfair SP's were 8.79, 6.37 and 2.85.. 3 places which was poor on that front.. SP's 1.36, 2.24 and 3.55... Re: Aidy's Market Movers Lingfield 1:30 - Strategic Action @ 11/2 Sky Bet Gained reward for some good efforts when getting head in front over 1m at Kempton in January and caught the eye when fifth in a better C&D contest 2 weeks ago, doing too much too soon. Interesting. Hexham 3:10 - Stickleback @ 8/1 Sky Bet No impact in a trio of juvenile hurdles last season (for Harry Dunlop on debut), but placed on both Flat outings in April, and probably needed the run in that sphere last month. Market useful now. Warwick 12:50 - Don Pooleoni @ 3/1 Bet365 Fell twice over fences in the spring (set to win on his handicap debut at Wincanton). Shaped well after 7 months off when runner-up at Taunton (17f) on Thursday and looks one to keep on side. Warwick 1:20 - Omaruru @ 14/1 Betfred Rounded off his juvenile hurdling campaign with a win at Newbury (2m) in March 2011, but he's only been seen once since and doesn't look to have anything in hand now tried over the larger obstacles. Warwick 3:20 - Elite Beneficial @ 4/1 Sky Bet Winning pointer who went handicapping off a stiff mark early this year and made little impact. Showed nothing on return, but assessor is cutting him some slack, and cheekpieces tried now. Warwick 3:50 - Wojciech @ 9/2 Bet365 €5,000 Lucarno half-sister to fair hurdler/chaser Cranky Corner and bumper winner Ronnie Rhino, out of a 9f-13f winner. Yard can ready a newcomer, so not dismissed despite modest price-tag. Kempton 6:00 - Mersad @ 3/1 Paddy Power Signs of ability in maidens and type to do better now handicapping, but would have made more appeal over a longer trip.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Ffos Las 1:40 - Armedanddangerous @ 10/3 Betfred Continued upward curve when gaining second chase win in the mud at Newcastle (3m) in January. Lacklustre display off this mark at Carlisle the following month, but conditions ideal on return. Ffos Las 2:15 - Super Villan @ 4/1 Bet365 Back to best when scoring twice over hurdles in the mud in the spring (including here). Possesses the physique for chasing, but low key start in this sphere last month, and blinkers tried now. Haydock 3:05 - Straidnahanna @ 12/1 Bet365 Bought for £60,000 after winning Irish point and caught the eye in a big way behind impressive Oscar Rock on hurdles bow at Wetherby. Has scope for plenty of improvement. Haydock 3:40 - Wolf Sword @ 20/1 Bet Victor Second foal of an unraced sister to smart hurdler best at 2m Clopf. Yard not known for its success with bumper newcomers. Ascot 1:30 - Lord of House @ 13/2 Sky Bet Twice successful over timber last term. Lost all chance with bad mistake in strong race at Exeter on debut over fences earlier this month, but well worth another chance to show what he can do. Ascot 2:40 - Double Ross @ 5/2 Bet Victor Useful hurdler who opened chasing account at Perth in September. Even better when third at Chepstow last month, and may yet have more to offer now handicapping in this sphere. Wolverhampton 4:10 - Penbryn @ 15/2 Sky Bet Not the most reliable, but returned to winning ways here (8.6f) in March. Possibly in need of return from 3 months off here (7f) 2 weeks ago, and down further in trip now. Wolverhampton 5:10 - Peachez @ 14/1 Bet365 Consistent in 2012, winning twice and runner-up on 5 other occasions. However, well below form on return in April (final start for Alastair Lidderdale) and on debut for this yard earlier this month. Wolverhampton 6:40 - Woody Bay @ 4/1 Bet Victor Successful 3 times already this term, and back from several below par efforts when third on AW debut (1m) last month. Each way claims.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers

Fair bit of cash for the Rae Guest filly in the 5:40 Wolverhampton - was 20/1 now showing 7/2 Just the one runner too, looks a Botti race to me, could be wrong.
I saw that Jim, big gamble but it didn't qualify as a bet for me.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Lingfield 11:50 - Sexy Secret @ 9/1 Bet Internet Fitted with blinkers and offered a bit more when third in maiden company at Wolverhampton in September but lots more required. Lingfield 1:25 - Prince Of Burma @ 7/2 Sky Bet Normally a reliable sort for Jeremy Gask, but failed to fire since joining this yard, and others come into this in better heart. Visor replaces usual blinkers. Lingfield 2:00 - Araqella @ 15/8 Betfred Knew her job when making successful debut at Yarmouth (7f) in August. Resumed progress when winning at Kempton last week, and 5 lb rise looks fair for one that is likely to go on improving. Lingfield 2:35 - Exotic Isle @ 7/2 Sky Bet Low-mileage filly who gained her third success (all over 5f) at Windsor in June and better than ever when third at Wolverhampton in September. Likely has more to offer on polytrack. Lingfield 3:10 - Gregori @ 5/4 Coral Improved on AW of late, winning at Wolverhampton (6f) last month and good second over this C&D since, though he did wander badly under pressure. Should go well again. Haydock 12:10 - Bobs World @ 18/1 Bet Victor Won maiden/novice hurdles last season but work needed on jumping and well held in 2 open handicaps this time around. Headgear tried. Gowran Park 1:55 - World Citizen @ 6/1 Boylesports Produced perfectly when back to winning ways at Ballinrobe in September. Done little wrong since, twice finishing runner up at Punchestown (20f) last month. Should again go well. Ascot 12:25 - Carraig Mor @ 1/5 Bet Victor Old Vic gelding from family of useful staying chaser Betty's Boy. Won Irish maiden point on debut, and made an impressive start under Rules at Uttoxeter (2½m), looking one to keep firmly on side. Ascot 3:50 - Josses Hill @ 8/11 Bet365 Beaten 22 lengths into second by a smart sort from Willie Mullins yard in a big-field bumper at Punchestown in May. Left Andrew Oliver since and likely there's lots more to come for top new yard. Wolverhampton 8:20 - Black Dave @ 4/1 Bet365 In fine form last winter, scoring twice at Lingfield. Back on track when winning at Yarmouth in June, and all the better for his pipe-opener when good fourth here recently. Not ruled out.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Exeter 1:35 - Long John @ 9/1 Betfred Down the field in bumpers, but better signs over hurdles, and best effort when runner-up over 17f at Newton Abbot in April (hooded). Bred to relish longer trip, and an intriguing handicap debutant. Exeter 2:05 - Sonofvic @ 11/10 Bet365 Point/dual hurdles winner who was impressive when beating Kentford Grey Lady to open chasing account after a long absence over this C&D in October. Capable of better still, and commands respect again. Exeter 2:35 - Barlow @ 7/1 Betfred Winning hurdler who has failed to build on initial promise shown over fences, posting another laboured effort off reduced mark when returning at Plumpton in October. Exeter 3:05 - Notarfbad @ 7/2 Sky Bet Successful over hurdles at Wincanton in April, and best effort so far over fences when scoring at Newton Abbot last month. Easily brushed aside off revised mark at Ascot recently, though. Towcester 2:15 - Badgers Cove @ 9/2 Bet Victor Dual hurdles winner (including here) who has yet to scale the same heights over fences. Running creditably when falling last at Kempton on recent return, and cheekpieces given a try now.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Kempton 1:30 - Highland Retreat @ 5/6 Boylesports Off the mark in novice company at Taunton in February and has improved on both starts since, winning a 13-runner 2¾m mares handicap at Wincanton earlier this month. Well worth her place at this level. Kempton 2:05 - Giorgio Quercus @ 9/2 Bet365 Last win came at Haydock in January 2012, but proved more miss than hit last term. Step back in right direction when third at Ludlow in May, and looks well handicapped returning from a break here. Kempton 3:10 - Royal Boy @ 4/5 Boylesports Expensive point recruit who showed very useful form straight away under Rules last winter, second at Cheltenham then third fast-tracked to a Grade 1 at Sandown. Fascinating chase/handicap debutant. Ludlow 1:45 - Moss On The Mill @ 25/1 Sportingbet Made the frame on his first 2 starts in bumpers, but didn't progress in a couple of subsequent outings in that sphere. Hooded for his hurdling bow. Ludlow 2:15 - Topthorn @ 8/1 Bet365 Back on the up when gaining his second handicap win on return from a winter break over C&D in April. Unable to match that since, though, falling heavily at Huntingdon earlier this month. Wolverhampton 2:30 - I'll Be Good @ 11/2 Bet Victor Not so good this year but dropped to handy mark if recapturing form for new yard. Wolverhampton 4:00 - Exceedexpectations @ 9/2 Boylesports Better on polytrack than turf, but disappointing on this surface of late.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Southwell 3:40 - Insolenceofoffice @ 3/1 Betfred Took advantage of a slip in the weights when regaining the winning thread over C&D in June, and followed that up with a pair of in-frame efforts on turf. Back from a break now. Sedgefield 2:50 - Robins Command @ 4/1 Boylesports Poor maiden hurdler who shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on his chasing debut at Kelso earlier this month, close up to 3 out, and can get involved here if building on that. Lingfield 1:30 - Rosoff @ 8/1 Bet365 Course-winning hurdler/chaser who posted a few respectable efforts over fences at Plumpton in the spring. Low-key return over hurdles there last week, though. Lingfield 2:30 - Dark And Dangerous @ 7/1 Bet365 Won pair of juvenile hurdles in 2011 and bounced back to form when landing 2m handicap at Ffos Las in April. Might have needed Exeter return and back on last successful mark. Lingfield 3:00 - Via Sundown @ 7/4 Boylesports Flat winner/placed over jumps in France. Not disgraced in a couple of hurdle events for this yard in the spring and was running well on his recent Kempton chasing debut before falling at the last.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Lingfield 2:35 - Tinshu @ 4/1 Bet365 Useful operator on this surface, so winless spell on turf of late easy to forgive, and unlucky not to finish closer when sixth in C&D listed event last time. Another worth considering. Wetherby 12:50 - Indian Castle @ 5/4 Stan James Point winner who has scored twice over hurdles for yard, making hard work of it at Perth (3m) when last seen. Doubtless has a future chasing and worth considering. Fontwell 1:40 - Millenarys Lady @ 13/2 Boylesports Ex-Irish mare who has been a bit better than result on a few occasions since joining this yard and drop back in trip could help now switching her attentions to chasing. Fontwell 2:10 - Whipcrackaway @ 6/1 Bet365 Back at scene of juvenile hurdle win a year ago but out of sorts at present, no impression back over hurdles at Sandown last time. Visor replaces cheekpieces. Kempton 5:00 - Storm @ 11/8 Bet365 Unlucky not to make a winning debut at Lingfield in February, and duly went one better upped at here a month later. Ran well on on handicap bow after 7 months off at Newbury and remains unexposed.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Uttoxeter 1:55 - Peqeno Diablo @ 12/1 Boylesports Successful from a much higher mark here (2½m) in May 2011, but hasn't come close to matching that form since. Uttoxeter 2:30 - Cloudingstar @ 2/1 Sky Bet Half-brother to Flemenstar, and ran out a ready winner of an ordinary maiden at Warwick on hurdles bow in March. Ran well when fifth on handicap bow at Exeter on return and may have more to offer. Uttoxeter 3:05 - One For The Boss @ 11/4 Sky Bet Has a patchy record but better than result on second start for this yard at Carlisle (26f) earlier in month, stopping quickly after mistake 4 out. Shorter trip will suit and interesting off this mark. Newbury 3:45 - Thomas Brown @ 2/1 Boylesports From a very good jumping family and showed there was plenty of ability there when winning both starts in points. Shaped well in strong Chepstow bumper last month and well worth considering. Taunton 3:55 - Sylvan Legend @ 10/1 Sportingbet Has looked limited in bumpers/novice hurdles to date. May do better now handicapping off a lowly mark, but very hard to fancy on balance. Kempton 4:35 - Forever Cinderella @ 9/1 Bet365 Closely related to useful winner up to 1½m Too Much Trouble (2-y-o 1m winner) and 11f winner Loden. Likely to need the run. Kempton 6:35 - Stormbound @ 11/1 Sky Bet Opened account at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in January. Not so good since, but always a chance a break will have revived and he's potentially well treated now.

Re: Aidy's Market Movers Nice one Aidy a great finish to the day for you! (with one to come.....) :ok When I noticed the move on Sylvan Legend earlier I thought I'd nip over to this side of the PL to see if it was on your shortlist!

Cheers Danny, well done with Sylvan Legend yourself! Hard to believe the win and place SP's of Forever Cinderella.. Was 5.41 for the place and 18.53 for the win, yet only went off 7/1 on course.. I think in the last 30 seconds before the off she went from 14/1 into 7/1, a huge flurry of money.
