Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Tournament preview: 1pt ew S.Dyson to win Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 28/1 Boylesports (1/4 1-6) Simon Dyson is a former champion in this event and he is showing enough form to suggest he can go well this week. Three other top 10s aside from the year he won the tournament suggests that Dyson gets on well on these courses and having finished third in Holland a couple of weeks ago he comes in here with his confidence up. Dyson is a good player of links courses and at 28/1 he looks a good price for a second Dunhill title this week. Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Top Scot preview: 2pts S.Gallacher Top Scottish Player 11/4 BetVictor Stephen Gallacher arrives in good form this week. He has two top 10 finishes in his last three starts despite the ill health of a family member and so I expect him to go well this week too. Gallacher has a good game for Links golf and he has won this title before. He also has a couple of other top 10 finishes in this event so with confidence on the courses and good form coming in he looks to have the best chance of the Scots this week. Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Top Danish player preview: 2pts S.Kjeldsen Top Danish Player 11/2 Betfred Soren Kjeldsen has been playing some nice golf in recent weeks and he is a player who enjoys links conditions. Like Anders Hansen he is a straight hitter but he can shape the ball both ways and his putting is good which will be crucial this week. Kjeldsen has been in the top 10 in two of his last four starts so he’s coming in here hot and with a good links record looks a decent price to lead the Danish home. Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Top South African preview: 2pts R.Sterne Top South African Player 6/1 Coral Richard Sterne is a South African who is having an excellent year. He currently lies fourth on the Race to Dubai standings and a good week this week will see him propel himself right into contention for the big tournaments to come. Sterne has top 10 finishes around these tracks in the past so with the form he’s been in during 2013 he looks overpriced at 6/1 to lead a large but possible weaker than it looks South African field. Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Peter Uihlein @ 55 Betfair I've been very impressed with Uihlein, particularly on links style courses. He had the 36 hole lead in the Irish Open before faltering on the weekend and was also going very well in the Scottish Open after 36 holes before his challenge faded. He turned around his bad weekend form when 2nd in the Welsh Open a few weeks back and looks a great bet to me. He can go low on the easy courses and has said he prefers it when the wind is blowing a bit.

Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Second round preview: 4pts D.Fichardt to beat R.Goosen 5/4 Bet365 Darren Fichardt has struggled for a while but he showed good form in the first round of this tournament, particularly on a tricky Carnoustie course and having gone around there in five under par he should be confident of getting it done again around a much easier Kingsbarns course. Fichardt needs a big week to push him into the top 110 places on the Race to Dubai standings to secure his tour card for next year and he can see off a recovering Goosen at 5/4 on Friday. Re: Alfred Dunhill Links Championship 26-29 Sept Third round preview: 4pts M.Hoey to beat D.McGrane 10/11 Stan James I think Michael Hoey is a worthy favourite in this two ball. Having won this tournament in the past he’ll have played St Andrews when it is set up nice and also when it is playing tough so he should be well prepared for the test on Saturday. McGrane will have to fire at pins as he needs birdies and that isn’t easy to do around here, especially if the wind is around so by virtue of the tournament situation I like Hoey here.
