Re: England > Midweek > Ryman Prem Aug 12-14 Margate at home to AFC Hornchurch (13/10 Marathon) Way bigger than I can make it. Margate took their perky pre-season form into Saturday and largely controlled things at Hampton, looking better organised and getting stronger as the match advanced. The forward pairing of Charlie Ademeno and Phil Walsh offers plenty of variation and behind them there's a good, experienced footballing midfield. (They're still 20/1 on the antepost - a crazy quote when you consider that Maidstone are 6s.) AFC Hornchurch have a very decent squad in Ryman Prem terms and they've retained trace elements of the squad that got them up two seasons ago, but they looked a long way off against a Lewes side that came into the game after major summer surgery and a poor pre-season. Margate's price has been drifting in places but they should really be somewhere south of Evs.

Re: England > Midweek > Ryman Prem Aug 12-14 Margate were very poor tonight, Hornchurch scored with practically the last kick of the game but should have put it to bed earlier in the second half. I know little about non league football, but thought Ademeno and Walsh looked a good striking partnership, Ademeno especially is a good player. The Margate back four were poor though, left back (no idea on his name) caught out of position time and time again. They looked to play far too high up, Hornchurch just finding themselves with space in behind time and time again second half. Always thought Rook was sh*t for Margate last season but looked far more interested and better tonight, kept winning flick ons.
