Re: La Liga > Sun 26th May Atletico Madrid - Mallorca Mallorca in a life or death situation need the win here to avoid relegation. They won last week against Betis playing good football, specially the first half. Atlatico with nothing to play for, locked in 3rd pace. They have travelled this week to Singapur to play a friendly match there and returned yesterday after 15000 km. They will be tired and I wouldn't be surprised if Simeone rests some key players. Odds for Mallorca are huge in this situation. Mallorca DNB, @3.90 (bet365), 3/10 points

Re: La Liga > Sun 26th May Athletic Bilbao - Levante Athletic Bilbao to win @ 4/7 This game is between two teams that have virtually nothing to fight for, but you can expect Athletic Bilbao to want to win their final home game and end the season on a high note. Levante are without a win in their last 10 away games(only 4 draws) and they won only 2 points in the 7 Primera Division games since April(they played Real M and Barca + the bottom 4 teams and Rayo). Athletic Bilbao on the other hand won their last 2 games and are without a loss in their last 5 Primera Division games. They have won 9 out of 17 games(or 66% of their points)against bottom half teams ranking them 6th in the league against bottom half teams, and 5 out of 8 home games against bottom half teams. Athletic Bilbao have injury problems only in defense missing Borja Ekiza and the 18-year-old Aymeric Laporte(they haven't scored goals played in 24 and 15 games), while Levante are missing the old experienced guns Juanfran(defender-29games-3assists) and Jose Barkero(midfielder-28games-5goals-1assist). In the last 5 meetings between Athletic Bilbao and Levante at San Mames, Bilbao has 5 victories. I expect the new Bilbao star Anduiz to shine once more and Athletic Bilbao to extend their recent good form with a comfortable win against Levante, who lack composure in the second half of the season and in their away games. btw anyone thinking to back Real Sociedad against Real Madrid @ 6/4 looks tempting, I am thinking about it as Sociedad need to win this game to play in CL next season, won against Barcelona at home and play really consistent against the top half teams(10 wins from 17 games third in the league after Real M and Barca). Real seem to me vulnerable after this terrible season and as Mourinho goes away. They have also lost 4 out of 8 away games against top half teams. Critical is if Raphale Varane and Sergio Ramos make it for the game and if Ronaldo starts... Carlos Vela is suspended for Sociedad though and he has 14 goals and 9 assists in 33 games. Tricky game.. I am open to critical opinions :)

Re: La Liga > Sun 26th May vicsuna, Real Sociedad really need to win this one, expecting that Valencia won't fail against Granada. Carlos Vela won't play, Ilarramendi is a doubt. Madrid have Ramos, Xabi, Coentrão and Varane with injuries. Pepe won't play, so Carvalho and Albiol, speed deficitary players, will be on the eleven against the quick counter - attacking Sociedad. Real Madrid have nothing to play for. I can really see Real Madrid not playing the sh*t today. And Mourinho might even rotate A LOT. Sociedad also has a good record at home against top teams. Let's not forget that they won against Barcelona 3-2, Valencia 4-2 Malaga, 4-0 Rayo...only drew against Betis 3-3 and lost to Atletico Madrid 0-1, and Atletico's was at the start of the season, where the team still wasn't playing that much. For me, Overs and Real Sociedad are quite okay, and I'm considering them.

Re: La Liga > Sun 26th May Atletico Madrid v Mallorca Hosts have had a bizarre two weeks, hosting Barcelona, winning the Copa del Rey with a famous and long awaited defeat of their cross town rivals and then travelling to Singapore and back in midweek to play a Singapore Selection team. That is a 23,000 km round trip and about 30 hours in the air! They did not play everyone in that game from the start and several youngsters got a run out, but all the big names were there, made the trip and most saw at least some action, with Atletico also having some other obligations, like conducting a training workshop, it was a draining midweek. As this followed on from the Copa celebrations and the hosts have absolutely nothing to play for with third spot long since done and dusted, it is hard to justify such short prices for Atletico, who should be in celebratory mood. We discussed the visitors on Monday ... Mallorca are without suspended defenders Ximo Navarro and Andreu Fontas, who were both dismissed last week in the loss at Athletic Bilbao, they are not regulars, but came into the injury hit side, due to the loss of Bigas, Lopez and Victor, who all miss out again. This leaves them with no recognised left back for tonight and they look very vunerable down that flank, something that the visitors will surely be able to exploit. Mallorca are the hungrier of the two and will want to keep the dream alive as long as possible. They beat Betis 1-0 and are still alive, but failure to get a result tonight is going to see them relegated and if they are going to have to visit a big three team needing a result, they could hardly ask for more than to meet one who has had the same build up as Los Rojiblancos. The visitors get Navarro, Fontas, Ximo and Fontas back, but lose fringe striker Javier Arizmendi (21-2-1.... only one start) to suspension, so, a very fair exchange! The hosts have named virtually everyone in a 23 man squad and will, I assume, make a decision on who has recovered best, before deciding upon a starting line up. Mallorca +0.75 ball

Re: La Liga > Sun 26th May Osasuna v Sevilla The visitors are still "fighting" for a Europa League spot, I am not so sure, Sevilla will be looking for a Champions League push next season and will need to be at their best, a run at the "other" competition might well be seem as a needless distraction. They are talking up the prospect, but have not won on the road in over eight months and only once in 18 starts and it will be ultra tough to break that duck at an Osasuna team battling for survival, traditionally strong at home and in a stadium where Sevilla have won just once in ten visits. Osasuna are two points from safety and travel to Real Madrid next week, they will not want to go there needing a result with the four teams below them in the table, all ending the campaign with home games . The visitors have travelled without central defender Federico Fazio (26-3-0 ..... 0-1-6 in the last 7 he has missed!), José Antonio Reyes (26-4-8) and suspended left back Alberto Moreno who has played in the last 13 matches. The hosts are without suspended left winger Nano (only four starts in 2013), but have no new injuries and for them, this is less about team news anyway and more about desire and commitment. They have spent a lot of time with supporters this week, who have made it clear how they will try and help today and coach Jose Mendilibar has called upon to his players "to play with their head and let the crowd provide the heart". Osasuna -0.25 ball

Re: La Liga > Sun 26th May Also interested in Osasuna! Also may move on Valladollid. I yhink they are a much better team than Celta (6/7 losses away lately) and they are even better when Oscar and Ebert are fit! Even though they dont have much to play for, I think they wanna do a good game in front of their home supporters! I think Valladollid DNB at 2.00 has some value!
