Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May At first glance, Watford look good value at 3.7 at Leicester - they comfortably won at Leicester recently. Although it would be sensible to wait until their goalkeeping situation has been clarified.

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May I am not sure it can be said that they comfortably won...1) They were hanging on a bit after Leicesters goal and 2) They will not be able to bank on a wonder-goal this time around. This is a definite no bet for me, could go either way. I might check out the BTTS though.

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May 4pts Leicester vs Watford - Over 2.5 goals 8/11 Bet365 Sometimes these playoff matches can be tight affairs but I think this will be a bit more open because both these sides attack better than they defend. Watford’s goalkeeping issue has to be a concern because even though Bond will wear a mask if he plays that was a hefty blow he took at the weekend. Leicester have scoring options throughout their side as do Watford so I’d expect both teams to score in this first leg. Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May Betvictor are offering a money back (£10) offer on the MOM market for this game. I was thinking of going for the option of 'either goalkeeper' (14/1) to get MOM. I can't find any stats online for previous MOM awards, so I was wondering if anyone knows if either Kasper or Almunia have been awarded MOM so far this season or not? Or just how often GK get awarded it in general. I have to say I've rarely seen it myself.

i wont be having a bet in this game as have enough emotionally invested tonight but personally i think it will be tighter than everyone thinks. if you take out the blackburn game then although we scored loads of goals this season they have dried up frighteningly so lately and with deeney out we will rely on abdi, forestieri and vydra. two of those have been out of form. with almunia or bond in goal we wont concede more than one i am convinced of this as we are more solid at the back than we were early doors in the season. all you people on the overs might come a little unstuck in my opinion as i see a nervy tight game 0-0 1-0 either way or maybe 1-1 i hope to be wrong and sit back and watch a watford 4-0 win :) would also cover both of no watford goalscorer @ 19/10 and forestieri first watford goalscorer @ 17/5 with victor for the reasons stated above good luck to all (except those betting leicester) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May

Why is the price on Watford to win so big? Surely they aren't that big of an underdog and they could easily win the game really.
They did the double over Leicester this season too. They should be a seriously tasty bet, but something is stopping me from putting the money down just yet. Perhaps the inherent unpredictability of these kinds of huge matches. I'm thinking about going with a Watford DNB to provide a safety net.

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May Not sure about this one tonight, but I fancy Leicester to take advantage at home. No doubt that Deeney is a big miss in terms of how Watford go on about business away from home. He is that hold-up player who brings Vydra, Anya and the rest into play when they hit teams on the counter. Zola will want to keep it tight as he knows there really is not much between the sides. I actually think that Leicester have a better team. They will no doubt want to take the advantage at home and I can see them winning this one. What type of game we see all depends on Watford, if they choose to make it a tight slow-tempo affair then 1:0 to Leicester would not surprise me.. Anyways I hope for goals and drama but Leicester should edge this. GL

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May

guys. i would seriously not be surprised if we fail to score tonight. vydra and abdi have been massively underwhelming the last six to eight weeks and deeney is a MASSIVE miss Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
I am starting to think Vydra just cant do it when the pressure is on. Belted a shot from an impossible angle and scuffed the two actual chances he had from the middle of the box. Commentators keep saying hes tired but he moves around the pitch okay and plays well in general.

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May First leg: Leicester 1 Watford 0 From what I saw, Watford were the better side, but the BBC report says Leicester deserved the win. I only saw about the last 30 minutes, and in that time Watford seemed to carry more attacking threat and had more chances, but they managed to fluff them, and Leicester scored from a set piece.

Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May 4pts Brighton to beat Crystal Palace (DNB) 11/10 William Hill These playoffs are never easy but they can be made a bit easier when you’ve had 2-3 weeks to prepare for them knowing that you’ll definitely be in them. Poyet has rested a couple of players at the right time to make sure they are ready for this tie and I think that will be such an advantage to Brighton. For me they are the better side right now. I think they play the better football and in a Selhurst Park which will be full of home expectancy which can create nerves and tension I think Brighton are the perfect side to take advantage of that. It is a derby though and a draw is a good result for Brighton so I’ll play safe and take them in the draw no bet market. I agree. Think that Brighton is the better team and pretty solid as their defense is the strongest in this league (besides Cardiff). But the draw @ 3.33 (Pinnacle) is tempting as well. Brighton haven´t won too many away matches (only 6) and are the draw team No. 1 of the Championship (18/46 games). Palace only lost two at home (overall home 13-8-2) and developed a drawish tendency recently. Yet their form is far from being at their best and they had scoring problems. too. So Brighton looks more likely to win. AH0 or X seems the way to go.

i think with vydra one of two things has happened. either yes he is tired as he hadnt really played for a couple of seasons before coming on loan as he had a serious injury. or he has been found out and defences know how to play him now. either way he is playing like a striker who knows he is out of form and hasnt scored in a long time which is exactly what he is ironically ever since he was announced as championship player of the season he has been rubbish (he didnt even win player of the season at watford, abdi did and he appears to have lost form altogether the last few weeks as well) it will be a different story in the second leg with deeney back. i would have preferred nil nil but will take last nights result Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
