Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Apr 13 Chippenham Town at home to St Albans City (2/1 Marathon) I can't believe I'm taking Chippenham after their increasingly underperforming season turned a bit poisonous recently, but a couple of wins have breathed new life into a squad who are much better than their league position. St Albans have proved themselves capable in their revamped form under new management, but the squad still has a transitional feel about it, and it's not entirely clear what they will have at their disposal next season. Recent performances have been patchy against tough opponents, and I'm prepared to risk a more focused home side at a biggish price. Leiston away at Lewes (8/5 Marathon) Both sides were in action last night - Lewes bagging a superb win against ailing Margate, and Leiston beating a Thurrock side who'd won three away games in a row. Lewes's deserved win was down to plenty of hard work, and the kind of busy closing down that they haven't been used to all season (two wins in nine at home). I think that may have an effect on their energy levels on Saturday, on what will probably be a heavy surface. Since being thumped by Whitehawk, Leiston have only lost twice in 14 away games in the league. It's fair to say they'll be tired too, but they are a more creative side than Lewes and though they lack the focus of a relegation fight they are still trying to impress their new manager. I have them well inside this price.

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Apr 13 afc fylde 6-5 at rushall big game for both sides at the top end of the table, fylde are shoo ins for the play offs on current form whereas rushall after a very good season seem to be faltering slightly,i think fylde will win the play offs after seeing them at hednesford a month or so ago (they lost but were the better team by a mile) and they have hit form at the right time. rushall sometimes struggle at home and are much better away where they hit teams on the break with the pace of obheng

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Apr 13 Stocksbridge Park Steels away at Ashton United (19/5 Marathon) A little counter-intuitive, but SPS - even though they've conceded tons away from home - have been better in the last two at home. Ashton have been on an excellent run - five unbeaten, all with clean sheets. But the 0-0 at Rushall apart those results came against the ropier outfits in the section (Stafford, Matlock, Frickley and Blyth) and the side has looked patched together in recent weeks. There's no reason why they won't do it again but perhaps they've been riding their luck a bit and with injuries still biting and Chris Lynch departed I wouldn't make SPS this far out.
