Plumpton 1.25pm Vulcanite and Salden Licht look the only 2 with a realistic chance here and the two horses at 100-1 should probably be 2-3 times those odds but only one bookie has priced up at the moment. Vulcanite probably jumped better than Salden Licht last time out and it may have only won by an official 3/4 of a length but it was eased down and won a shade cosily to suggest it has plenty in hand. It will need to have too as it now gives 6lb to that rival and they were off levels last time out. Vulcanite should be slightly shorter in the betting for me (around 4-7 or 4-9) with Salden Licht around 2-1 and Vino Griego should be 2-3 times the odds of 7-1. I'd be tempted to lay Salden Licht at odds of 11-10. Re: Jumps Racing - Sunday 6th January 2013 2.55 Plumpton: At The Races Sussex National (Handicap)(Class 3)(3m5f) Competitive race but I have narrowed it down to the favourite Mission Complete plus the top two Reblis and Pettifour. At the weights you would have to fancy Reblis gaining his revenge over the jolly and he will be fitter this time too. The Longsdon horses are running well and being only an 8yo is one of the least exposed types in the race. Pettifour is hard to ignore off this mark and his last run was encouraging at Haydock and is given one more chance to deliver the goods.
