2.30 Lingfield Clear Praise - ran race of his life when second at Wolves latest, winner had flown but he stayed on well from mid-div. Amazingly, dropped 1lb for that effort. Within 1lb of last winning mark and weighted to go well in his grade. 5/2 Paddypower. 5.20 Wolverhampton Woolfall Sovereign - very progressive on polytrack, won despite a drop back to 5f at Lingfield last time and even better over this extra furlong. 6-14 on AW now. Up 6lb but could still be more to come. Fresher than most after light campaign this year. 5/1 Bet 365

Re: Flat Racing 28th December 350 Wolverhampton 1pt win irish heart beat is a worthy fav @5/2. Not had many starts on the aw. Ran well lto and is stepped up to 7f today and should take all the beating. Dam has produced 5 winners from 15 tries at the track. 2/17 have been at 7f and turning out again quickly 3/5 have won. She has produced 2 winners from 8 runners at this level on the aw so a few stats in our favor in what looks a weak race.

Re: Flat Racing 28th December 2.30 Lingfield Decent handicap but big worry is the major lack of front runner. Millibar looks plenty high enough in the weights at present having won 3 starts back blew the starts last time so can be slightly excused but that is becoming a worrying recurring factor at the moment. Kakatosi has been well below his best for sometime now but has dropped a long way in the weights, and has been known to make all but would like to see much more before getting involved and this trip looks too short. Clear Praise would need a career best effort to land this and although a respectable effort last time out unlikely to get a decent gallop to chase. Proper Charlie was well beaten on last start on turf but may come to life back on the AW having previously won over CD twice, he is now 5lb above that last winning mark and will need to be at best returning from a break. Restless Bay has been held off these marks in handicaps recently and does have plenty of attitude to boot aswell and will need things to fall right. For me Italian Tom is the most attractive, he fared much better last time out when plugging on for 3rd over 5f, no problem switched back to 6f. In small fields he has been known to make the running or sit prominently so this could be his chance to take advantage of his lower AW mark. 2pt win Italian Tom 4/1 vc 3.30 Lingfield Not a race to dwell on with one horse looking to stand out by a mile! Paperetto ran one of his best races to date last time out when he caught the eye staying on before getting snatched up, now needs to back that up and 1 win from 20 starts tells its own story. Warbond keeps getting bumped up a 1lb for running 2nd last twice, this looks a stronger race than that one and this mark is beginning to become a problem. West Leake is a reasonable sort at this grade during the winter, last win came off 66 now rated 57 having failed to win this year and struggle for consistency. Likely to be better a Kempton and probably needs a run after a short 3 month break. Glastonberry should be very hard to beat he is 2lb ahead of the handicapper. She won over 6f around here and has since ran 2 good races at 7f around here proving she stays this far. She was drawn out very wide last time out and had to come very wide from a very unpromising position but was only just held. She has fared much better on the draw front today and should be hard to beat. 5pt win Glastonberry 9/4 SJ 4.50 Wolverhampton Cheers For Thea wouldn’t be an obvious sort to follow up her victory here over slightly further a week or so ago. She struggled to win for 2 years and that win came in a race that was run at a hard pace and she was patiently ridden and despite the huge winning margin she is no sure thing at a short price. Green Mitas is still looking for the elusive win and has been campaigned over 7f on recent starts. He has been largely consistent until last time out when trailing in last, needs to bounce back but does stay this far so one to consider. Outlaw Torn hasn’t been seen since winning 2 months ago in a class 5, drops back into class 6 didn’t have much to spare that day so although 2lb rise fair will need to be at his best after a break and wide draw tricky aswell. Nant Saeson beat the very well handicapped Ensnare last time out admitly got the first run that day, cheekpieces need to work again and step up in trip should also suit and 3lb rise seems fair, wide draw slight problem but might need some cover stepping up in trip and has a good chance in a race like this. 2pt win Nant Saeson 9/2 bet365
