17:05 Meydan Barbecue Eddie 0.5 EW @ SP Struggling with the weather back home so off to the sunshine. All wins bar one have come here- the other at Hollywood Park as a 4 year old- and stepped up to this distance and won last week. Loves the Tapeta surface and although now 8 years old looked to be improving as won by three lengths. Jockey booking is good (would have liked Richard Hills though) and I like the trainer. If I'm honest I'm backing him because he's won three times for me and always at good prices: the price won't be there tomorrow although I'm going EW in the hope that it drifts slightly from the 2/1 equivalent on Betfair available now which I expect it to. 8 furlongs standard. 9 runners conditions race.

All this talk of racing being corrupt... I agree - it largely is. Horses aren't at their peak fitness every race. I dare say the above is being prepd for the valuable Blue Square 6f series at Lingfield - if you're not on a workable mark at the start of that you've got no chance come the final. Knowing that not every horse is trying though... It's not such a big problem (yet) that u can't make it pay and it's not as if it hasn't always gone on! At least the exchanges offer us clues now as to when the handbrake is off and despite my constant disdain for Bookmakers closing accounts, I promise u Punters have never had it so good. No betting tax, exchanges and BOG. Good Luck Rio - you've not been wrong in what you've said at all but regardless, it is still possible to turn a profit. It's bl hard but then hasn't it always been??
