Santos Selections (Last Six: 8,2,1,3,2,3 +3.11pts)

This thread will now be for my daily fancies. Im betting on these selections looking at my ratings, some form study etc so a bit of a mixture really. I will use the betting scale of 1 to 3 points (for me £10 per point) the 3pts being the NAP, 2pts second best fancied and third the outside bet of the 3. A thread like this is also better for me due to time restraints as with my ratings I was a bit pushed doing all the ratings five races a day so some days there will be more selections others only one or two so days I have more time I'll have more time to look into races etc. In bigger fields I will probably dutch selections and just single selections in smaller fields. So hopefully people can read/follow this or what ever with interest ;)

Leicester 3.40 - Crystal Gal 2pts win (11/2 William Hill BOG) NAP Managed to land a listed race last season but has been below par this campaign in three starts how ever this presents her with an easier task then her previous runs has won on softer ground. Huntingdon 3.50 - Vino Griego 1pts win (8/1 Bet365 BOG) The horse is yet to win over fences but I feel the price is too big. Placed efforts last season in good races at Cheltenham and Ascot looks useful form.

Wetherby 2.50 - Temple Lord 1 pts win (11/2 StanJames) NAP The kind of horse McCoy can get the best out of think his form has been solid enough of late to have a chance. Nottingham 3.15 - Sirvino 1pts win (14/1 Bet365) Not the easiest to win with but if on his A game has the ability still prob a decent e/w chance if finding his best can win. Wetherby 3.55 - Pigeon Island 1pts win 13/2 Paddy Power Managed to get back to winning ways lto so Im hoping that can rub off today with the stable also in good nick. Lingfield 4.05 - Fennel Bay 1pts win 14/1 Betfred Exactly the kind of horse that Mark Johnstone can get a winner out of, showing little form then bouncing back. Wetherby 5.30 - Mr Moonshine 1pts win 6/1 Ladbrokes A horse that can go well fresh and looked a decent chaser last season and looks on a fair mark back over hurdles.

Re: Santos Selections Well the crossbar was hit today :wall two seconds Pigeon Island and Mr Moonshine who traded at 1.5 and 1.31 but both managed to get themselves beaten! They ran pretty well today on the whole but alas still searching for the first thread winner... Cheltenham 2.10 - Special Account 1pts win (10/1 Stan James) Comes here in good form having won three times at lesser meets this harder but comes here in great nick. Cheltenham 2.45 - Domtaline 1pts win (9/2 Betfred) Is 2 from 2 over fences with win at Ludlow at Stratford a good jumper and should be bang there. Cheltenham 3.20 - Fox Appeal 1pts win (14/1 Stan James) Hard race to call but this horse is twice a winner at 3miles with two wins from his last three starts also a decent run at Cheltenham lto 9th of 20 in a big field. Cheltenham 4.30 - Court Minstrel 1pts win (6/1 Bet365) Good form in bumpers and ran 4 of 19 in the Aintree bumper when last seen looks one with more to offer over hurdles to me. Haydock 4.45 - Chosen Character 2pts win (4/1 Stan James) NAP Has been so consitent this season winning five times and seemingly always gives her running last win over c&d and on heavy ground means she has a massive chance today.

Re: Santos Selections Well finally landed a winner on day 3 with Court Minstrel looking impressive. Ascot 2.20 - Society Rock 1pts win (7/2 Stan James) Ascot specialist who seems to reserve his best for here needs to maybe break a bit better but looks a big chance. Cheltenham 2.30 - Nadiya De La Vega 1pts win (12/1 Ladbrokes) Lightly raced and has shown she has got some good ability before it's a tough race but she could take a big hand. Ascot 2.55 - Great Heavens 1pts win (4/1 Bet365) Only faded late in the Arc on her first run since July Im hoping that run will have brought her on for today. Ascot 3.30 - Excelebration 3pts win (10/11 Paddy Power) NAP With no Frankel to take on I think Excelebration has to be the one to beat. He's also beaten a few of these fair and square before and will take all the beating here. Cheltenham 3.40 - Hold On Julio 1pts win (6/1 Bet365) Have to forgive a poor run lto in grade three company and I'm doing just that think he remains a horse with good potential.

Was also pleased with Hold On Julio's run coming third but back to form. Tuesday 23rd October Yarmouth 3.50 - Mediteranean Sea (1 pts win 16/1 Stan James) Prob not as good on turf these days but at the prices worth a small go. Exeter 4.10 - Sophonie (2 pts win 7/4 Betfred) NAP Needs to bounce back froma poor run lto but debut for new yard here has the ability to go a lot better. Exeter 4.40 - Gullinbursti (1pts win 3/1 William Hill) A tricky race but well rated over hurdles and if he can be as good in this sphere will surely go close.

Newmarket 3.05 - Hoarding (2pts win 9/4 Paddy Power) NAP Solid efforts this season including 3rd lto over c&d should be bang there. Newmarket 4.45 - Subtle Knife (1pts win 5/1 Bet365) Tricky affair but this horse has been in top form been in the first two all of last 6 runs if as effective at a mile will have a big chance.

Carlisle 4.30 - Ahyaknowyaself 2pts win (3/1 Bet365) In good form of late and was a clear cut winner two runs back at Sedgefield and also stayed on well to finish second lto at Ffos Las. Looks a solid option here. Wolverhampton 7.10 - Xinbama 1pts win (7/1 William Hill) Looks a tad overpriced to me here is a consistant horse who is more likely to give his running then most of these.

Mister Hyde traded at a low of 1.6 before being touched off and Xinbama faded late to finish 4th but gave another solid run. Was in decent form earlier this year and if returning in same heart should go well. Fakenham 3.05 - Marodima (1pts win 8/1 Stan James) Rattled up two wins and goes off the same mark as his last chase win. Bold front runner and the kind of form he is in could well complete the hat trick. Doncaster 3.15 - Prodigality (1pts win 9/2 Betfred) & Khubala (1pts win 4/1 Betfred) I'm dutching selections here in this big field. Both of these horses are in good form and both should be bang up there with a good chance. Prodigality comes off the back of a comfortable Goodwood win and Khubala looks like he is a sprinter with more to come. I think both have massive chances.

Newbury 2.15 - Alhebeyeb (1pts win 4/1 Betfred) A tricky little race to solve but I think Alhebeyeb could be the answer. Needs to undoubtedly bounce back from an 11/11 finish lto in France but if he returned to his Group 2 winning form could go close, also acts on soft ground. Doncaster 2.30 - Doc Hay (1pts win 9/1 Bet365) A big field Donny sprint a pin may come in handy....but backing one who comes in on good form two wins in his last three and he won't mind the soft conditions a big e/w chance I think. Newbury 2.45 - Noble Mission (2pts win 4/1 William Hill) NAP Has had a good season even if you have to forgive a bit of a blip lto at York where the hood was left off. Interestingly the hood is back on today he has proven he can act on softer ground and given his previous efforts this year I see no reason why he won't be bang there with a big chance of winning this. Newbury 3.15 - Steer By The Stars (1pts win 7/1 Ladbrokes) Romped home by 6 lengths lto at Catterick and could have won by more and suggested there may be even more to give. This harder but I like her chances. Aintree 3.30 - Wishful Thinking (1pts win 7/1 Bet365) Great to see a lot of the old faves taking part in the Old Roan Chase here at Aintree and I like Wishful Thinking. I prefer him of the Hobbs pair and he can go well fresh and if he is wound up for this should play a hand.

Bangor 2.30 - Hollow Penny (1pts win 4/1 Paddy Power) Two runner up efforts in bumpers (albeit not close in both) but shown he has potential. Leicester 3.50 - Model Pupil (3pts win 10/11 Bet365) NAP It's probably a bit of a concern the horse has been off 172 days so there would surely have been some set back but the way he ran well on that last outing only just touched off. If he's ready will surely be the one to beat imo.

Yeah it's been annoying the ammount of seconds lately and anything in a tight finish has gone against mine! had so many trade low but just get touched off but as you said just need to turn a few of those 2nds into 1st's and will be ok.

Tuesday 30th October Catterick 2.20 - Dr Red Eye (3pts win 9/2 Bet365 ,BOG) NAP Been in decent form generally and went close two runs back at Chester. A repeat of that kind of effort should see him go close. Yard doing well at the moment and has a decent draw to try and dominate from. Taunton 3.30 - Bally Legend (1pts win 5/1 Bet365, BOG) Always interesting to see how the novices do and while Molotof could prove hard to beat Im going to side with Bally Legend who is a decent hurdler and should be in the mix here. Taunton 4.00 - Qoubilai (2pts win 6/1 Bet365, BOG) Had two runs in March of this year and did well winning by a distance and placing second. Was a bit below par last time we saw him but those three runs were all in quick succesion so maybe it was one race too many. Been off for 206 days but can go well fresh and if in the vein of earlier this year could go close.
