Re: A bet a day helps you work, rest and play! Saturday 26th February 2.40 Kempton This race is set up to be a battle between Duncliffe and the selection Lacdoudal. Realistically, these are the only two horses with enough class and experience to win this race and Lacdoudal gets the nod. A horse who loves racing again relatively quickly after his last effort, will look to notch up his fourth win in five this afternoon. Although he could only manage a third place finish last time out, he paid the price for going too fast in an effort to keep tags on the favourite Ashley Brook who he did beat to the line. With that experience under his belt, he will come on for it and wont make the same mistake today. The time before that, he was an impressive five length winner over Joes Edge and Cornish Rebel who was going for four wins on the trot. Neither have raced since but their racing history is impressive especially that of Cornish Rebel. Indeed, that was Lacoudal's third win on the trot, including a win over one of todays rivals Copsale Lad. He will of course be running off a high mark today but both he and Duncliffe have been penalised for recent wins so this will not be too much of a hindrance. With the going set to be soft at best, Lacdoudal will be perfectly suited although to be fair he has shown ability under several different conditions and this versatility will be key with the ground likely to be cut up. His four races over this distance have seen him finish first twice, second and third and it is this factor that gives him the edge. He will have no doubts surrounding his stamina which is always a positive sign when conditions are testing. Lacdoudal has been running in quality fields of late and this class A race will not be anything new which is where he again has the edge over his closest rival who makes the step up from class C for todays race. On paper, this is a two horse race and it will surely be a thrilling finish but Lacdoudal will fancy his chances of making that finish first. Odds: 5/2 (paddypower) 10 pts stake

Re: A bet a day helps you work, rest and play! Wednesday 9th March 2.40 Bangor-On-Dee Feel The Pride is taken to recapture her form of old and finish in front of Tonic Du Charmil. Since winning a 2 miler at Ayr last April, she has struggled in her last two races, in December and eight days ago at Leicester. However, with Jonjo O'Neill having problems with his yard, she was always going to need a run or two to get back into her stride. Being turned out quickly today against opposition of no great quality can see her return to winning ways. That race in Ayr was her second win on the trot and her fifth in seven outings all over distances of and around that she will face today. Of the races she didnt win, her third place to Albuhera was no disgrace, as this horse has gone on to perform well in better company. Her other race in that sequence was over the flat and can be disregarded. There will be no problems with the ground today has she has shown great diversity in winning on soft ground through the card to good to firm and so todays forecast of good-soft will be perfect. Incidentaly, her last run was over heavy ground which may have been too soft for her liking especially having had a lay off. Her last two victories came in better class races than this, including a win over Dancing Pearl who has scored twice since and so this drop back in class will suit. Of her rivals, Tonic Du Charmil is fancied from the Pipe yard but there must be clear doubts over her ability to handle the ground. Her only win came over good ground and many of her other good results were on firmer ground than that. It is also the jockey's first time on the horse who was brought over to France and her inexperience can also count against her. If Feel The Pride is back to her best health wise, she is more than capable of taking this race and getting back to winning ways. Odds: 7/4 (paddypower) 10 pts stake
