GODS WINDOW will lead from VALEDICTORIAN and BELLISSIMO. SPEEDYMAC could potentially come across and sit handy from the wide gate whilst LORD OF BRAZIL may use the barrier and kick up to a forward position. The remainder of the field generally settle back or midfield. Looks a race where on-pacers could be advantaged. RACE ANALYSIS: Tricky little race with the lack of speed making it look a race for the on-pacers. The likely leaders GODS WINDOW has shown no evidence of running out a strong 1200m and fellow on-pacer BELISSIMO may find this a shade short. VALEDICTORIAN might just be that on-pacers who can give you a sight at terrific odds. He’s first up today after an excellent campaign which saw him finish out of the top 4 just once. Two starts ago he ran a game 2nd behind eventual Group winner Western Symbol as well as a string of game and in some cases luckless performances. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-value-to-be-had-in-tricky-sprint

STONEBLACK probably crosses to lead PHILDA. SPACECRAFT may then be given a dig in the ribs to be handier to the pace than he has been this prep. Stable mates COSMIC CAUSEWAY and OREGON SPIRIT next in line with STREETS AWAY not far away from them. OAKHEART, KEEP CONTROL and BUDAI will settle back in the field in a race where being on the speed might be advantageous. RACE ANALYSIS: Small field but quite a few chances. COSMIC CAUSEWAY probably should have won last start after having no luck in the straight over the 1800m. Once clear he showed a nice turn of foot only to be bloused by 40/1 shot LYONELL. Today he gets back to his pet trip of 1600m, draws a nice gate probably has the best form in the race which includes beating Banca Mo at level weights 3 starts ago. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-moody-runners-hold-the-keys

There are 3 potential leaders in THE TIGER, THE CLEANER and BIANMICK and even DAME CLAIRE who has led in longer races. SKY RAIDER, YULALONA , PLACEMENT and BANCA MO sit handy-midfield. The rest are likely to back in the field. The question mark runner is BUXTED who is having his first start in Australia. Looks a race where every horse should get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Hard to go past in form Tasmanian BANCA MO. He’s had 3 starts in Melbourne and each one has been full of merit culminating in an 8 length romp last start at Flemington over 1800m where he sat off a good pace and claimed his rivals before bolting away to a big win. The 3rd horse from that race Forty Thirty who was beaten 10 lengths has since gone on to place in a Listed event in Sydney. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-you-can-bank-on-mo

Any one of IMOTO, FOMALINE, ORCHARD STREET, or ROCKIN JO could lead here. ROCK PRINCESS is versatile and will probably position just off the pace/mid field with SASSY BAY while the others will probably get back in the run. Looks a race where every horse will get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: IMOTO has come up well under the odds in this race at around 2.2. She was dominant in winning her maiden and then a 1600m event at Flemington but then was just fair when out to 1700m against the 3 year old fillies at Flemington. Today she’s having her first crack at open age company and is poorly weighted after some of her rivals claims. On the positive side she gains the services of Glen Boss and is drawn for a nice run from the inside alley. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-jo-is-roccin-value

The 4 speed horses have drawn the widest 4 barriers which could really turn this into a speed battle in the first 200m of the race. CANALI will probably prevail in this speed battle from anyone of GALBRAITH, BEYOND PARDON and UNANIMOUSLY. BROKEN trails them and then ONE LAST DANCE, FREE RETURN and EAGLE FALLS next in line. Looks a race where every horse should get their chance barring track bias and luck in running. RACE ANALYSIS: Tough competitive sprint race this. FREERETURN showed a return to form last start with a nice run on effort behind GOLDEN ARCHER down the Flemington straight. The drop back to the 1000m trip and the dry track seemed to work wonders and tomorrow he gets to Moonee Valley where he is 2 from 2, draws perfectly in barrier 4 and gets sufficient speed for him to run on. CANALI was brave in the same race that FREERETURN came through. He set a ridiculous tempo up front and it wasn’t until the concluding stages that he showed signs of fatigued and strangely wasn’t really ridden out by apprentice jockey Alana Brown. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-a-free-return-to-form-for-sprinter

VALUABELLE probably leads them from NIGHTWAR giving GLOWS the box seat. SIMPLY PUT, RUE MAPLE and LADY ROCK should position next in line from TOTAL ATTRACTION, SPURCIFFIC and SERENE STAR. The rest of the field will get back in running. It is an advantage to be on-speed in these sprint races at Moonee Valley and I think this race is no exception. RACE ANALYSIS: This looks a nice race for GLOWS to resume. Her 5 runs last preparation were all very good, the best of which was at this track and trip where she won the Listed Typhoon Tracy Stakes over Empress Rock who then went onto win 2 in a row. She looks likely to get a lovely run in transit here, sitting just off the pace, gets champion jockey Glen Boss on board, gets in on the minimum weight and has been very well backed in early markets. RUE MAPLE is fit and in form, I think you have to forgive her last run where she was found to be lame. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-darley-mare-to-leave-punters-glowing
